We were in town for a wedding and read about Bombers online. We saw the menu online and were immediately attracted to the super cheap prices. It was around 8:30pm on a Saturday. I...

Big Big burritos 1/6/2007

We go to bombers a couple times a month. Its a great place to hang loose, have one to many drinks and stuff up on a really big burrito. W.r.t. flavor, its the closest to California-type burritos that I've found in this area. They could use slightly better ingredients, and the wait staff could be nicer, but hell, it really is more of a bar than a restaurant and the prices arent bad. The other great thing is that if you go on your birthday, they give you a ENORMOUS margarita on the house. Its large enough for the whole table to get sloshed. Parking can be annoying but the church parking across the street is worth the $3. more

I lived off of these during my college years 4/17/2006

When college makes you hurting for cash, it was really nice to have a place that provided a hearty meal that was good quality. A little hipster dugout on Lark Street this was a place vegetarian friends loved and frequented often. The burritos were large and heavily stuffed with fresh ingredients and one can feed you for the equivalent of 2 meals. I could never finish one in a single sitting. The prices are reasonable and its a great place to get a quick bite or take out. The preparation tables are out in the open so no sneaky in the back stuff going on. Check it out - you'll learn the art of sharing. more

Cool place to go with friends 4/11/2006

Bombers is a great place to go for casual dining on a weeknight. I am referring to the fast food like service in the basement of the building, and not the bar itself. When you go in, the menu is on a chalkboard with a lot of options. They have burritos, tacos, fries, and I believe salads. I personally have only ordered their burritos, which is what they are known for. Once you place your order, they'll take your name. When your food is ready they will bring it to the pick-up counter. You can stand by the pick up counter, but they have a sign saying not to stare because its creepy. Their burritos are very large. I would say they weigh at least a pound, if not a pound and a half. They run $6 each but they are worth it. Unlike Taco Bell, their food tastes natural. Unlike Fresno's, they have actual quality and taste. Plus, you have the convenience of dining out with high quality food, without the added expense of tipping a waitress. more

Bombers 4/10/2006

Seems all the hip college kids love Bombers' burritos. They're on the large side, made fresh, and come in a wide variety of flavors, including Red Stripe marinated pork. The problem? I just don't think they're that tasty. I'll cede that it's a heaping size -- you'd be blind or stupid to say otherwise. But the burritos aren't that great. Even marinated in Red Stripe, the pork's just kind of there. And the prices are in line with such overstuffed burritos, so it's not like you're getting a superior deal or anything. All in all, I'd go once, but more for the novelty. At some point, when you can't even lift the food because it's too soggy and falling apart, too much is too much. more

Good hang out place 4/9/2006

Came here with a bunch of friends from college. The atmosphere is ok, it is not fancy at all, looks just like a college hang out place. Even though they have a really annoying commercial they do have a large variety of food and it is good. In college my friends used to hang out here a lot. more

Bombers will fill you up! 1/31/2006

Bombers Burritos should come with a warning: Do not eat for a day before attempting this burrito. Seriously, they are huge, full of fresh ingredients and tasty. I love their BBQ Chicken burrito, it's really barbequed. They have other items like tacos and even Frito Pie, but stick with the burritos, they're awesome! They have vegetarian options too. Parking is a drag on Lark, but park on the side streets and walk if you have to! more

Good Food & Filling 8/13/2005

Bomber's has great tasting GIANT burritos that will definitely fill you up. (Or feed you for 2 days!) I prefer the barbecued chicken. Almost all are under $6. They also offer tacos for $1.50 - 2.25, and Quesadillas, a salad, chili, a jamaican jerk plate, wings, and an assortment of items under the category of 'Munchies'. You can eat in (interesting shop) or have it delivered. There's also a bar upstairs with Tequilas and a slew of different beers. They have a website you can check out first www.bombersburritobar.com. On the street parking can be tough. A must try. more
