You wouldn't think that this Shabu place would be very authentic because of it's location in Glendale but I will have to tell you, Ben the owner came over to where we were sitting...

Great Shabu Shabu in the heart of Glendale 11/16/2007

Great Shabu Shabu (which translated means 'swish swish') restaurant. Good service, pleasant atmosphere and good quality food. Only downside is that it is located in a small strip mall that is usually teaming with local highschoolers - but that's probably just my personal annoyance. I brave it for the food regularly. Pros: food and service Cons: location more

Great Shabu Shabu, Great Staff, and very authentic 5/10/2007

You wouldn't think that this Shabu place would be very authentic because of it's location in Glendale but I will have to tell you, Ben the owner came over to where we were sitting and personally thanked us for coming. He is a very nice guy, and treated us very well. They have great portions and the large is well worth the $20 dollars, the ponzu sauce is excellent. I highly recommend this spot! more

Best Shabu Shabu I've ever had. Now it's my #1. 3/14/2007

Since years ago, my favorite food was shabu shabu. I?ve been to Little Tokyo and tried every shabu shabu restaurant there was. Though recently, going there has been a bit of a problem for me. So I started to search for a new place to eat some shabu shabu. I?ve had tried most of the restaurants around my general area, and nothing compares to this place. It?s just amazing. Pros: Food is great, Service, Ambience, Validated Parking, Lots of room to spare. Cons: It's not right next to my house, it's 5 minutes away! =P more

Great Shabu Shabu! 2/1/2007

Randomly found this place. A great eat and easy parking makes this place my new Shabu Shabu fav!! The staff is greatt and you're always serviced right away! more

One of the most pleasant dining experiences in L.A. 1/21/2007

My boyfriend and I have been going here since the place opened. We initially wandered in simply because it was the only nice-looking and non-chain resturaunt near the movie theater, and we were wowed! Not only is the decor sophisticated and romantic (yet not cold or overly formal), the beef is TO DIE FOR! The owner was friendly and chatted with us a bit, and he even took the time to show us how he personally likes to mix the ponzu sauce. Now we eat there 2 or 3 times a month, and it never dissapoints. If you're looking for a fun resturaunt to grab a bite before the movies, then this is the place. Pros: tasty food, affordable, good service, friendly owner, lite yet filling Cons: there aren't more resturaunts like this more

LA alternative to shabu 11/16/2006

I've been going to LA's Shabu shabu house restaurant thinking that was the closest shabue restaurant around the valley. Found this restaurant while driving around in Glendale. Comparing to LA's Shabu Shabu House, its not that bad. Everything was great, meat, sauces, service. Only thing different than the LA one was less amount of meat and only one bowl of rice. Pros: Stellar Cons: no refills on rice, less meat than expected (lunch). more

Must try...will not be disappointed! 11/11/2006

Looks stylish inside and out, but the food is the real story here. Great service and wonderful portions. I plan to return often. Pros: Good looking restaurant, delicious food, a place you will want to frequent! Cons: Nothing I can put my finger on. more

Great Place for a Great Meal 9/29/2006

I went to this place on the recommendation of a friend and I was not disappoint. It is nicely decorated and the staff was very courteous. I ordered the gyoza as an appetizer and I think I would have eaten a hundred of these little suckers but my server brought the ingredient for my shabu shabu. The portion are more then enough for a ""healthy"" eater such as myself and I thoroughly enjoyed the seasame sauce which was very light but still very flavorful. Somehow, I found room for dessert and I would highly recommend the sherbet (mango, plum, lychee). more

Great Shabu Shabu! 9/24/2006

Finally somewhere outside of Jtown that has great shabu-shabu! We chose the bar-seating over the tables--while it seemed a bit awkward at first, it was clearly the right decision! It was a fun experience AND I didn't have to share my food! ;) more

Real Shabu-Shabu in Suburbia? Believe it. 9/23/2006

Walking past baja fresh, panda express and coldstones, I began to wonder if our shabu shabu destination was going to be another fast-food suburban substitute for real food. But once I made it through the desert of fast-food, I arrived at an unexpected oasis. Right away, the decor sets the restaurant apart from its neighbors. But more importantly is the great shabu-shabu; the fresh beef was cut and trimmed delicately, the sauces were homemade and distinctive. The somewhat tentative manner of the staff is more than made up for by the thoughtful attentiveness of the owner who seems to genuinely take pleasure in making certain you enjoy your meal. more

Awesome shabu shabu, great ponzu and goma sauce, excellent service and great design! 9/18/2006

Found this place while we were walking around to get something to eat after our movie. The vegetables and meat were very fresh, sauces were delicious, decor was simple and clean and the owner is extremely nice. We usually go down to Jtown for shabu shabu but can't stand the wait. This place is much closer to where we live so we'll be going here from now on. Pros: Ambience, Service, Food Cons: The restaurant could be hard to locate if you're not familiar with the area more
