A Great Experience! 11/28/2004

We discovered Boiler Room a couple years ago and try not to miss any plays. It is a wonderful experience. They choose great plays and I always wonder how they will produce it on such a small stage but they always come through. The actors are excellent, have fantastic voices, and I just can't say enough about adding a trip to the Boiler Room to your entertainment schedule. Pros: reasonably priced, friendly, good parking more

Boiler Room is a real treat 9/10/2003

I love going to Boiler Room by myself, with a friend or two, or my entire family. Many of the shows each season are family-friendly, but one or two usually deal with more serious topics that are still carefully displayed. The actors are incredibly talented and a few are integral parts of the community as teachers and coaches for children and teenagers in the acting community. The atmosphere in the Theatre is great because it is such a small, intimate setting. After a show, you really feel like you've been a part of it rather than just an observer like at other theatres. I go to dozens of theatres and this is definitely my favorite. Pros: Inexpensive, Unbelievably talented, atmosphere Cons: shows sell out quick more

Man A La Mancha 11/4/2002

My boyfriend and went to see Man A La Mancha last Friday. The actors were awesome, the beverage stand was varied. The leading lady had the voice of any broadway star. We already have plans for the next show. After the show you have an opportunity to meet the actors. Pros: Small, Acoustics, Quality more

Skid row has never looked better. 6/17/2002

The Boiler Room has just finished its LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS run. It could be the most appropriate show to show off the Boilers talents. The show was carried by wonderful performers and supported by musicians that have never sounded better. And this time, the boiler room itself plays a part. The curtains have been removed leaving brick wall to drop the audience right into skid row. All of the performers were solid, but two deserve special mention: Jeremy John Evans Seymour is less a comic book interpretation and in the intimate boiler room, works like a charm. Erin Parker (wonderful in Boilers BABY) gives a comic turn and vocal belt to knock your socks off. Their SUDDENLY SEYMOUR was devastating in strength and purity. Still a new theatre, we are lucky to have the intimate Boiler Room available. It delivers. Pros: location, talent, inexpensive more
