Body Cafe is very professional. I came in for a bikini was to be done by Jennifer. I was greeted warmly by associate at front desk and instructed to have a seat and Jennifer would be right with me. Jennifer was very informative about care of my body after the wax. I felt very comfortable getting this done by her. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for this. Would definitely recommend! more

I have never seen such a poorly run place.The staff there is rude and plain right mean.I once had the unlikely fortune of meeting the owner,who is some guy from somewhere not around here and wow what a jerk.There are way to many spa's in this area that I will never go there again.I have noticed that I have seen some bad reviews on here,then they are gone.I thought this website was a place to make a review on??????????? The Boday Cafe is by far the worst place in anywhere that I have seen.There is a reason why it keeps changing ownership,the lady who use to own it,who still works there is the biggest bitty I have ever seen.I would suggest never going to this place. more

I've been going to Monica for several years for facials, eyebrow waxes, and dyes. She not only does a terrific job, but her entire demeanor is relaxing and friendly. She seems to intuit when I feel like talking or when I want to be quiet and enjoy the process. Everyone at The Body Cafe has always been welcoming and helpful. It's a wonderful place to go and become a customer of. I feel welcome whenever I go back. more

I recently had the pleasure of getting a massage for my birthday with Tonya at the Body Cafe. In addition to having one of the best massages I have ever had, Tonya even took the time to work with my teenaged daughter to have a few surprises in the room for me! Not only is Tonya a talented, and gifted massage therapist, she is also passionate about customer service. Will definitely keep the Body Cafe on my list of "Favorite Things". more

Courtney at the Body Cafe is wonderful! I know that I am safe in her hands to help me select a perfect style for a cut and color. We are working on letting my hair grow a bit and she knows exactly what to do to with my hair every time. I get compliments on both my cut and color very often and always tell people about Courtney. She is able to curl my hair with a flat iron, she works magic with it! I highly recommend Courtney, you wont be disappointed. more

I don't trust just anyone with my hair. Courtney knows how to cut and color my hair to make it look natural and the best. I have been many places but I have gotten more compliments about my cut and especially my color since going to Courtney! She has a flexibile schedule and relaxing work atmosphere. I've found the best hairdresser in Durham at The Body Cafe. Courtney always gives me a great cut and I'm continuously asked about where I get my hi-lights done. Courtney goes out of her way to fit me in when I wait to the last minute to make an appointment and understands my gibberish when I'm trying to explain what I want done to my hair. I highly recommend making an appointment with Courtney. You won't regret it. more

I had such a wonderful time at the Body Cafe'. I received a gift certificate for my birthday and decided to try out the services. Tonya- Oh my... you really have to experience the massage services in order to fully comprehend what I am trying to convey. I was having extreme pain in my right leg and I have had little to no pain, since my visit with her. I think I was suppose to be quiet during my time, but I had the best time ever and it was a total blast. Faith was really sweet and attentive and did an excellent job with my mani/pedi. I will definitely go back to see them very soon. more

In town for a baby shower with time to kill, I decided to try the body cafe for a mani/pedi. Walking in, I knew I made a great pick!!! Lining the walls were top of the line nail products, with a wide selection of colors and nail trends. After chatting with Faith (who was so delightful) I decided to try a shellac mani & a pumpkin soak pedi with shatter polish. It's officially been 2 weeks and I'm VERY HAPPY to report that my nails have not chipped or cracked at all. There is a bit of new growth showing, but my nails are so shiny that you can barely notice. The spa smelled wonderful and the decor encouraged relaxation. The welcome drinks were also a nice touch. The staff was really attentive and helpful. This spa can truly rival the spas of NYC, I'll definitely be back for a full spa day. more

I had an appointment with them over the weekend and I have to say they have the worse customer service ever. When I arrived there were two women at the counter and it was not until I reached the desk that I was even greeted. ( And no they were not busy with other customers one of them was eating and the other was surfing the web.) The one surfing the web did not say hello even though she made eye contact with me as soon as I opened the door. I sat in the lobby and the two women continued to eat and surf the web and one even answered their cell phone right at the desk. The massage therapist was amazing. Very sweet and friendly and provided excellent service. If not for their massage therapist this place wouldn't survive in my opinion. I had to wait for 45 minutes to get my next service done, a manicure, because the owners daughters friend had changed her mind about what nail service she wanted so they made me, a paying customer, wait 45 minutes. The nail tech seemed rushed and did a dry manicure which I have never heard of and my nails ended up looking terrible and started to peel the next day. The facial was last and she was very nice however she kept leaving the room during the service and it was very distracting and hard to relax. The massage therapist should work someplace else because she is going to lose clients due to how unfriendly and unaccommodating everyone else is. more

Body Cafe' is a wonderful experience for the whole body. I have had mani/pedi, used the great tanning bed and Cheri is the best stylist, especially for naturally curly hair. I have always had a hard time finding a stylist who knew how to properly cut/style naturally curly hair. Cheri does an awesome job and I have had her cut my hair faithfully for three years now. Courtney filled in for Cheri to color my hair during an emergency and she did a great job. I get compliments all of the time about my hair color and now I use Courtney to color my hair and Cheri to cut and style. They are always friendly and professional. The salon is calming, clean and smells great. The tanning bed is always clean and not too hot. I highly recommend the Body Cafe' for all of your salon needs. It's easy to get too, just off of US 15-501 in Durham and right across the street from the South Square Target and Sam's Club. more

Going to The Body Cafe is what I look forward to the most when I am in Durham. I live in the north but spend the winter months here. Tonya gives the best massages -- I find myself drifting into total relaxation the minute she begins to work her magic on my aching body. She finds all the tight muscles in my neck, shoulders & back, and when she's finished, I feel regenerated, and great all over! From the scented lavender oil, to the hot stones and hot towels she uses, all my cares and worries just melt away with her touch. She is truly a body healer. Monica's facials are unbelievable. I always wished I'd booked more time, because an hour with her is never enough. I'm so relaxed, I usually fall asleep. She never leaves the room, like in other spas. While she's waiting for my mask to dry, she massages my neck, shoulders & arms and then wipes those areas down with hot towels. I look five years younger when she's done! When my facial is over, I wish I could ask her to do it all over again! I never want it to end. When I'm finished with my massage and facial, they turn me over to Courtney to do my hair -- and no one - anywhere - can color and style my hair like she does. In other salons, I typically end up redoing my hair after I leave, but not when Courtney is finished. And I get so many compliments too. I have been all over the world and have visited many salons and resort spas -- but never do I feel as comfortable walking in or as refreshed walking out, as when I'm at The Body Cafe. This kind of pampering and relaxation is VERY hard to find. The atmosphere is warm and inviting....from the soft music, the burning, fragrant candles, to the beautiful smiles of these fantastic women....they eliminate all the stresses of my life -- even if it's for a few hours -- they make my day (and me) feel very special, and that means so much! Oh, and if you're into tanning -- there is nothing better than their Ultra-Bronz tanning bed. You'll never go anywhere else to tan once you've tried this bed. When I leave Durham - my days at The Body Cafe are what I miss the most. These women are more than fantastic technicians -- they are my friends! Give them a call - you won't be disappointed! Wow! I've never experienced such relaxation! When I entered the quiet atmosphere there was a light candle fragrance, Jennifer smiling behind the counter, and quiet spa music in the background. Private pedicure rooms make it so nice to catch-up on the latest magazines with a fresh cup of coffee by my side. Monica! Your fingers are magic to my soar muscles and love the color selection for my nails! After After the hand and lower massage I felt like a new person. Maybe I'll just put a cot in the back and they'll let me make it my new residence! Thanks to Mike, the new owner, for a wonderful experience! I'll be back soon...that's for sure! more

The atmosphere at The Body Cafe is so refreshing! The services are top notch, and the staff is extremely professional and welcolming. Carmille is one of the best stylist I have ever had and Natalie, the owner, is also one of the best in the industry as well. You won't ever be disappointed with any service! more

I recently had a brazilian wax by Jennifer. It was the best wax I've ever had! I've tried other waxers in the area, but I was told to try Jennifer by a friend at my school. Not only was she professional, but it was the least painful wax I've ever experienced. Also, I took note of how clean and sanitary she was. It's pretty hard to find someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to these kinds of waxes, or any other for that matter, so I highly recommend to try her!! more

After a not-so wonderful spa experience a few months ago, I tried this place just a few days ago and I was thrilled with the service and the atmosphere. I will definately return. Try their facial! I am always aware of friendly and positive feeling staff, and this spa had great attitudes. Facial was great, relaxing, unfortunately I don't recall the estatician's name but she was very professional and allows me to relax and didn't talk when she realized I needed peace and to not be interactive. more

The service you receive at The Body Cafe is extraordinary!! Cheri has been doing my hair for years and I am so excited she is back as the owner. Anyone with short hair knows how hard it is to find someone that can actually cut short hair, and do it well. Look no further. I receive compliments all the time on my hair and I always tell people I owe it all to Cheri. She is amazing and she truly cares about all the clients that walk through the door.
