I could have spent hours looking at all the jewelry, cards, bath & body goodies & other assorted odds & ends that this shop has to offer. I missed the waterfall garden area at the rear of the store, next time I will have to bring more money & spend more time browsing so I don't miss anything! Great shop! more

Body Basics offers both nationally known products as well as unique customizable scents. Their Burt's Bees product selection is much larger than most stores in the area -- I once drove up there just to get a specific product for a gift because they were the only store in the Sacto region that had the product. This is such a fun store for putting together gifts! Staff are helpful when you need them, but stay out of the way when all you want to do is browse and have a scensory experience. I love their custom scents -- it's fun to give friends a special lotion and bath gel instead of going with the run of the mill selection from a store at the mall. Body Basics is worth the drive up Highway 50 because it's not the only great store in historic downtown Placerville. We love going up there for a few hours to browse the unique boutiques or to go antiquing! more
