I just wanted to say that after having paid 3 plumbers to come out to solve a plumbing problem, Shane with Bob's Plumbing was the first to really analyze and solve the problem and was able to tell me exactly how much it was going to cost before he started the work. Not only did he do a great job with positive energy he went the extra mile in terms of completing the job in a timely affodable way. I would highly recommend them! more

I called Bob's because all the plumbing in my house was backed up and I had a number of people coming to visit for a few days. They showed up a few hours after I called, were nice, professional, thorough and obviously knew what they were doing. They fixed my problem in no time and at a very reasonable price, and even removed their shoes before entering the house! It's so hard to find honest and responsible service providers in Los Angeles, but now I've found the one place I will call from now on with all my plumbing needs. I couldn't recommend Bob's any more! more

Bob's Plumbing is who to call when you want the job done right the first time. Cleanest & tidest plumbers in town. Plumbers were on time, & showed up wearing slippers. I called Bob's in the morning, they arrived promptly, for the same day scheduled afternoon appointment. They diagnosed the backed up clogged drain right away. It was cleaned out efficiently & you would never have known that a plumber had shown up because it was so tidy on their way out the door. While the guys were friendly and polite like everyone says, I waited a good 3 or 4 hours while the first plumber got a second AND third opinion about replacing a leaky pipe. I think he did a competent job in the end, but he left a big hole in my wall that he said he would send someone out to patch the following day (not included in the price, of course). When I didn't hear from him the next day, I called him, he said he would call the patcher again and call me ""right back."" He never did. I know patching the wall wasn't the plumber's responsibility (although frankly, I think it should be; otherwise the job isn't really finished), but promising more than one can or intends to deliver isn't the best business practice in my book. It's extremely difficult to find a trustworthy plumber, though, and just for the sake of trying to build a relationship with one I would probably call Bob's again, but after all these exceedingly glowing reviews I guess I just expected a higher level or service. more

I have used Bobs Rooter & Plumbing in the past and I have recently moved down to Long Beach. It was to my surprise that they would make the trip down. I wanted to add a washer and dryer and did not have the plumbing to be able to do so. I live in a condo complex with units both bellow and above. I wasn?t even sure it could be done. I knew it would be challenging and was afraid of having just anyone do the job. I knew from using Bobs Plumbing in the past that they are very professional and would over charge. I'd spent a lot of money purchasing a home. I then spent 16 months remodeling the house. Finally my wife and I moved in. All new electric, plumbing, woodwork, roof, and interior decorating. The house is beautiful. Then it happened. Sewage started backing up in our shower. A major rotor rooter company was called. $6,000 later they had changed piping up near the house, rootered it out and showed me with a video camera everything was great. The following week the same thing happend. This time I called another major rooter company. They told me that I had broken pipes going down the hill and that I should insert a sleeve into the pipe. Honestly, I didn't trust them. I immediately went to City Search and based on these stellar reviews I called Bob. Guess what? He answered personally. Said he'd be here at 8 am. At 7:45 he called me saying he was tied up in traffic and he'd be 10 minutes late. 10 minutes later he was there with his sons. After a couple of hours he showed me in fine detail how bad the pipes were, how deep they went, and how far to the actual sewer they ran. They showed us in detail the breaking of the clay pipe and the blockage. Pros: I'd trust them with my life Cons: No cons. They're great! more

I will never use another plumber, period. These guys are HONEST, FAST, INNOVATIVE, inexpensive, hard-working, and they do an AWESOME job. I had two complicated jobs done in an older building and they devised ways to save me a huge amount of money but still managed to use top quality parts. There workmanship is outstanding. What can I say, THIS IS THE BEST PLUMBER EVER and I'm serious. Pros: BEST PLUMBER YOU WILL EVER FIND. PERIOD. Cons: None. more

I called and like most people got through to Bob himself. This guy is old school and honest. He called to say he was on his way with an exact time, not some 5 hour wait period. They looked at what our old plumber did and just laughed, this guy is the best. He came to unblock our pipes and I have used him ever since, he changed our water tank and my landlord uses him for everything now. If you want the best at a very reasonable rate, most importantly, HONEST. Bob is your guy. Pros: everything more

Okay. Toiled... clogged. Deodorant... missing. Husband... guilty. That's right, he accidentally flushed it down the toilet in the middle of the night. Of course, he only remembered this after I spent 20 minutes furiously plunging to no avail. Good cardio workout, btw. Anyway, I called Bob's -- and actually spoke to Bob himself. He was incredibly friendly -- and had his son Jason at our apartment a couple of hours later. Jason was great -- really nice guy, very professional. He had that Secret Solid out in two minutes flat.... and charged me a very reasonable fee. An unscrupulous plumber could have easily made it into more than it was: ""Sorry, ma'am. We have to re-pipe the entire building."" That didn't happen. Knowing I now have a plumber I can trust is such a relief. I highly recommend Bob (and son Jason) and would not hesitate to call them again. more

I read the reviews on here about Bob's Plumbing before I hired anyone to install a new water heater in my home. All the wonderful things said about them is true. I had a clogged shower drain that my landlord's plumber couldn't fix, I didn't know who else to call, so I found them on the web, called them up, and within two hours they were at my house, fixed the problem, did an amazing clean up job afterwards, and were totally courteous and professional. A great family run business I'd recommend to anybody. more

Bob was prompt and courteous, and happy to explain what he was doing as he was doing it. After speaking with several other plumbers who were either surly or had ""no idea"" how much it would cost to fix our sink, it was a pleasure to speak with someone who was friendly, knowledgeable, and competitively priced. This is by far the best plumbing company I have ever used. They gave me a 2 hr. time window and said they would call me 30 minutes ahead of time when they were on the way. They did just that. I got my 30 minute call, met them at my house, the plumber gave me a flat rate price up front to do the repair, I said ok and it was taken care of. They did the repair, left the area cleaner than they found it and best of all is I didn't have to wait around all day and miss work like I have had to with other companies. Bob's rooter...Simply the best. My main sewer line was backing up under my house and after dealling with 2 other big name plumbing company's, Bob's Rooter saved the day. They got my sewer line open (that the other 2 company's were unable to do and I still had to pay them) Bob's ran a camera in the sewer line and showed me what the problem was. They had it fixed and all back together by the time I left for work and returned home the following day. more

Bob is an honest and dependable guy. I was moving into my new home and in order to close escrow I needed an earthquake valve installed because it was required by our homeowners insurance. A colleague of mine at work referred me to Bob?s, and I'm so glad she was there at the right time. I'd previously called three other contractors to bid on the installation of a Noritz tankless water heater, and they all suggested mounting it in locations that would have violated Building and Safety Codes (above the gas meter, next to the electric meter or close to a door). One wanted to tee the gas line into the 3/4"" line that goes to my furnace. When Bob came out, he correctly advised installing the heater 3' on either side of the gas meter and with a separate 3/4"" gas line. One of his sons and a helper did the work, and it was a beautiful job, with all lines firmly anchored and a minimum of new holes drilled. Pros: Top quality work, low prices more
