Great tip for parking: try the parking deck at the Civic Center at 4th & Red River; Bobalu's is off 6th between Neches & Red River -- a short walk from there!

Nice people, but not much of a cigar 4/12/2012

Nice people, but not much of a cigar lounge. Don't go looking for brands - they make their own. more

Bobalu's on 6th 4/8/2010

You Are Wrong! I am personally there everyday.\r #1\r the cigars are not moldy.\r Bloom refers to the slow rising of essential oils to the surface of the cigar. It first appears on the surface of the cigar as tiny crystals and will eventually make the cigar appear dusty. Bloom is not harmful to cigars. It is an indication that the cigar has been maintained at a 70+% \r \r #2 We keep our humidor at 68 degrees and 70 percent humidity. We constantly look out for any signs of beetles on a daily basis. If you say you saw a cigar with a beetle hole maybe, but you saw many cigars with beetle holes Bullsh_t!\r \r For you to compare my handmade cigars rolled by Cuban master rollers to a cheap nasty machine made black and milds, you are the IDIOT! jeff lipton owner Pros: handmade cigars rolled by Cuban master rollers more

DOES ANYONE GO IN HERE SOBER? 2/18/2009

thankfully we walked in one a sunday morning and not the night before when we were half lit, \r the shop had a dirty old basement smell to it\r and once you stepped in the humidor it was super intense but i support local businesses so we decided to buy a few anyway \r AS WE WERE IN THERE I FOUND SEVERAL CIGARS WITH MOLD ON THEM AND NOT TO MENTION TOBACCO BEETLES!!!!! \r FOR ANYONE WHO TOOK HOME HIS CIGARS AND PLACED THEM IN THERE HUMIDOR ARE IN BIG TROUBLE!!!!\r THE OWNER WAS VERY PROUD OF HIS ""CIGARS""\r MY FRIEND ASKED ME IF WE SHOULD MENTION THE BETTLES AND MOLD TO HIM...,IM PRETTY SURE HE KNOWS... IT TAKES AN IDIOT TO THINK THESE CIGARS ARE ANYTHING ABOVE BLACK AND MILDS\r \r heroes and legacies off of research now thats a real cigar shop with choices and mold free cigars!!! Pros: im still pondering on that........ Cons: moldy cigars the stench is horrible and did i mention beetles? more

Great Coffee and Friendly Staff! 1/8/2009

As someone who works downtown there are not many places for coffee or lunch. though this place dowsn't offer food, they have THE BEST coffee around and really affordable prices. The staff is so nice and friendly and it makes me happy to spend my money there. support local businesses like Bobalu and get an awesome coffee in the meantime! more

  • In Short
This local company makes all of their own cigars; most are made by their in-house cigar rollers. More than 50 to 60 varieties of cigars are housed in their huge walk-in humidor....
