Bob & Dee's Family Restaurant

This place sucks. I ate there and it took them atleast 20 minutes just to come out and take our order, then add another 40 minutes just to bring out our food. The owners are the rudest people I have ever met. I have a friend that worked there for a couple days and said the owners and other employees would go out back and do drugs. This place is just flat out ridiculous, and I would recommend McDonalds over it anyday. more

We have eaten at Bob & Dees many times. There are not many resturants in Gardner, so choices are limited if you want to stay close to home. I have to say that I believe the rumor of emplyees doing drugs is true. The gal that works in the bar (some relation to owners) always looks and acts high. The last time we ate there she could hardly keep her eyes open to take our order. She messed several things up on our order, forgot drinks and messed up others orders in the bar. We will not be eating at Bob & Dees again. It was a very bad experience. It is worth the drive to get good food and good service. The food and service is great but it is the owners that are the problem. The owners yell all the time at their help and treat people - even customers - very badly. They make all of the servers tip out everyday on their sales then keep the money for themselves to go to Mexico every year. Bob & Dee are very cruel to their employees. They pay minimum wages, employees are treated extremely unfairly (like sh*t for lack of a better word). Their service is terrible. They are extremely slow and usually there is no hostess even at the door, and sometimes waiters/waitresses don't even "notice" that people are seated without being helped. They allow employees to get high out back during breaks. They have refused to pay some employees for hours worked, which is illegal, resulting in the police being called on them. Bob and Dee's has terrible service. Bob and Dee are very mean to their employees in front of customers, which is unprofessional. It was my first day working and Bob and Dee are very rude people. I sat a table of people in the bar and I accidentaly didn't give them silverware or an ashtray and Dee started yelling at me, "Get them an ashtray! That's why they sit in the bar! It's common sense!" And I was a hostess and nobody had told me that people in the bar get ashtrays, but I found them and put on on their table. Bob followed me back to the front and said, "Haven't you ever been to a restaurant before? Don't you know that the ppl expect silverware and ashtrays on their tables?!? It's common sense!!" And I just said "Ok." Then Dee started getting mad at me to go tell the waitress that i had seated people, and I kept saying I didn't know which waitress it was (it was my first day...). They both started yelling at me saying "This is a responsibility!!! This is your job!" And "Hurry up!!" So i started walking to go find the waitress, and bob said "Clock out and go home!
