The patio gets an A! Perfect for our large group! 7/26/2006

Meeting up with 12 others for dinner for a nice outdoor dinning experience seemed to be an impossible feat. However upon a little research on JudysBook I found Bluwater Bistro. We were able to get a table reserved with no hassle and the within hours of our time of arrival! They were very accommodating and the food and drinks were perfect! As someone else had commented the restaurant itself indoors does seem a bit run down a bit in decor.. almost giving it an 'unclean' feeling but the perfect setting on the water and the great service more than made up for it. I would not hesitate to return to BluWater! more

Food is just OK 1/23/2006

I really wanted to love this place, but like the Leschi Lake Cafe that it replaced, it is convenient and has a great view, but the food, although pretty expensive, isn't anything to write home about. It is a great place to drink and they have a terrific lounge, but the service in the restaurant can be slow (the view is great!). And, if you come by boat, it is just awesom The meats are just OK (I do miss the prime rib special from the old Leschi) and the pastas are big, but get the alfredo sauce on the side, it is overpowering. The fish you really have to be careful about, this is one of the those places that called is "Fresh Northwest Salmon", but in reality this is farmed Atlantic Salmon from Canada. Does it matter you say? Well, first, this salmon is pretty much tasteless since the color is artificial die and they are fed pellets, but more importantly, these fish are crowding out the wild species. more
