What can I say? I LOVE my hair! My hair is a straight wavy type and Bridget did an amazing job! She cut it dry first and did this ombre technique that looks so amazing! I've never had so many compliments before! If you're thinking about visiting Blume Salon, just go! more

Ive always thought I had to settle for puffy, frizzy hair, or take so much time in the morning and try to staighten my once life-less hair. One of my co-workers referred me to Stephanie at Blume Salon. She and both her children have difficult curly hair also, and my co-worker had nothing but great things to say about her color&cut from Stephanie. Reguardless to say I absolutly was blown away by the knowledge and how skillful Stephanie was with my unruly curly hair at my appointment. She made me feel so comfortable and is a really sweet woman. I had never gotten complimented on my hair before it was in her hands. I will never trust anyone elese with my hair because a stylist as great as her is very hard to come by. more

I have curly kinky hair and used to go into the city to see another stylist to get my hair done. The cost and time just got to me so I decided to give Blume Salon a try. That was about a year ago! I usually see Bridget and she is amazing! She always takes the time to answer all my hair questions and does an amazing job! She is hard to get in with so if I can't get in with her, I will see Amina. She is a sweetie and also does a great job! more

I went to this salon for a few months. was happy with the color and cut. however the blow out was always done by the receptionist who was sweet but a dreadful stylist. i was always taken at least 1/2 hour late, inspite of the fact that there were no clients. Briget has cut my hair for 10+ years and I won't let anyone else touch it! She does a fabulous job! All the ladies that work at the salon are professional and very friendly. Can't say enough good things about Blume. more

I was sick and tired and sick and tired of bad haircuts and hating my frizzy hair. My co-worker told me one day while complaing, to try her stylist at Blume. She told me the stylists specialize in curly hair and so I decided to make an appointment and give it a try. more

The salon is a nice place and comfortable. We didn't know any stylists, so they gave us a junior stylist for a haircut . We spent a long time talking about the cut and what we did and did not want. We talked at length about the last haircut she got and how it didn't work out, and it took 7 months to grow that out. We were very detailed in how we didn't want that same style because it didn't work for her hair. She took a long time cutting the hair, and she kept checking to be sure it was even throughout the cut. I thought we were in good hands. When she began to blow it dry, we could see that she cut it exactly how we asked her not to cut it... almost the same as it was before when we were disappointed...my heart sank. When I pointed this out to her, she made a few adjustments, but it was still not what we asked for. I even found several uneven pieces, and when we got home, I had to even out what she missed by doing it myself. There were long pieces hanging out, and it was uneven between the left and right side, almost an inch difference. I know this was our first visit, but one of the things I look for is the ability of the stylist to listen to you. This time, the stylist did what she thought was right, and she justified why she did what she did, but it wasn't what we asked for. I was actually kind of shocked, after how explicit we were in describing what we needed. She also said she'd call us in a week to see how the haircut was working out, and she didn't call. The stylist was very nice when we met her and began the visit, but she was definitely flustered when I told her that the haircut wasn't what we wanted and was actually exactly what we shared we did not want. We gave the place 2 stars because the girl was really nice, but we were not satisfied overall because of the quality of the haircut and the inability to listen to the customer. Thank you. more

I was so fed up with going to a salon and not feeling like I was welcomed in a professional mannor that isnt too ""stuffy."" I was looking online at differant reviews and saw alot of really good things being said about Blume Salon. I gave them a call, the receptionist was so helful in trying to find a good time for me to come in with my busy life. She also saw that I had never been tto the saoln befor and asked me if i needed directions! Their open until nine, so I got a haircut appointment with Andraya after work! When I walked into the salon every single staff member smiled and welcomed me to the salon. My haircut with Andraya was amazing. She had a wonderful consult with me that made me feel very comfortable. She made sure to hear what I wanted and also offered some really good suggestions for my hair. She explained to me that all of they stylist do on-going education from all around the world, including Italy! Andraya now does my cut, and color, and I have never been happier with my hair, and the professional serice they offer. more

I've Been hearing about this curly hair salon called Blume and decided to check it out for myself since no stylist has been able to make me happy with my curls. I ended up seeing Bridgette and 'WOW'! She discussed my curl thing issues with me! She really understood where I was comming from! She also recommended some product to me which I am now addicted to! She did this dry cutting thing on me which was kinda weird but it totally worked out for me! Apparently she was trained by Lorraine Massey in N.Y. and really did an amazing job! It did take Bridgette longer than normal to do my hair so I recommend that when you call for the dry curly cut thing, ask the receptionist for a longer appointment. But honestly, I've never been happier with my hair and I recommend everyone to go to Blume! Pros: Worth the price! Staff extremely nice and professional! I kept hearing good things about Blume Salon from some of my friends and decided to try this salon out since my last stylist completely destroyed and thinned out my hair! I do have naturally curly hair so, it is difficult to find a stylist who knows how to deal with this texture. So, I was scheduled with Amina. This stylist totally gets the curly hair thing! I decided to go to Blume Salon after shopping around other salons for bridal services. The 2 ladies who originally sat down with me went over everything from soup to nuts and answered all of my questions! I felt very comfortable and decided Blume was the right fit for me! I have been getting various hair and day spa services at Blume Salon for over a year. I always feel relaxed and every single staff member have always been pleasant, professional and accomodating to my needs. I always love my hair and always receive tons of compliments from my friends and co-workers. My facials and pedicures are FANTASTIC! Services are over priced. Salon tries to nickle and dime. Refused to do my hair on my wedding day because I only was bringing one bridesmaid. Not accomadating or understanding. Breached my signed contract based on number of people, which was not even listed in the contract nor mentioned to me at all in the planning! Good website, but does not accurately reflect the condiition of the salon. Make-up made me nervous because it looked ""old"" and ""used""... especially the foundation. Cons: Where to start?? I had a wedding to go to so I made an appointment at Blume Salon to get some kind of formal style for the event. Unfortunately, that very morning of the wedding, I some how became a crazy woman due to my brief possession of insanity! Some how that morning I made it to the salon for my hair appointment. The receptionist was really understanding of my stressful state and calmed me down and offered me some beverages. Then I got this FANTASTIC updo style from Bridget! Not only did she create a work of art on my hair but she also became my personal therapist! So, then I go to the desk to check out. The receptionist offered me a choice of wedding cards for me to have so that I didn't have to then stop at the drugstore during my unorganized morning! I told Bridget about how I forgot to do alot of things for that day but, I didn't expect someone to run out and get me a card to make my life easier! My experience at Blume Salon.........PRICELESS! Blume Salon is a retreat each time I enter. I drive about 30 minutes for my peaceful time for myself. I must boast, for I consistently receive five star services from the Blume staff members. The decor, the soft music, the refreshment offered before the consultation with each professional stylist is most welcoming. I have always been treated with the utmost respect and hospitality. Expect a warm, friendly and interactive collaboration during your consultation with these professional stylists to achieve the look, cut and color which becomes you, and a look which you will be able to maintain! Since becoming a part of the Blume Salon clientele I have received exponentially more compliments on my hair, in comparison to ?life before Blume? :) My husband also gets his hair cut at Blume. (The Men?s Den). I have even had my children?s hair cut at Blume. Staff is courteous and relates well to all ages All my appointments have been timely. Been going to this salon since it opened and love it. We moved an hour away last year and my husband, yes, husband and I continue to drive an hour each direction to get our hair cut and colored by Bridgette and her awsome staff. Sometimes I treat myself to manicure/pedicure and a massage to make my relaxing experience even more complete. Pros: free parking more

I drive 45 minutes each way once a month for this wonderful experience. Never disappointed, always delighted. Creative design that matches my lifestlye and is easily maintained on a daily basis by someone (me) who hasn't the time or interest in complicated primping. I love that my concerns are always listened to and incorporated into my haircut. Bridget is the best! Talented, considerate and creative...what more could you ask for?!
