Blue Velevet for Life 8/15/2006

I had heard rave reviews from a friend regarding a hairstylist at this salon, so I called and set up an appointment as soon as possible. I didn't think anyone could do anything with this mop of mine. I had tried to go blonde in the past, but was always dissapointed by the way it looked. Well, let me tell you, Megan turned me into an amazing blonde bombshell! Not only was the cut great and perfect for my face, but the color made me look so awesome I couldn't believe my eyes. I would highly recommend Megan, I give her a 100 out of 10 and will definately go back! more

This is a great salon with a great atmosphere. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. If you want anything from a normal haircut to something wild and crazy this is the place. The salon makes you feel comfortable and welcome no matter who you may be. Be sure to check out some of the art shows and other events that are frequently held at the salon too. more

Blue Velvet is a cool place to get a great haircut but not only that, it is also a fun hang out. The girls are cool the latenight appointments are great especially because you get a beer with your haircut! The people there make you feel comfortable and there is no hoity toity salon vibe going on. Everyone talks to everyone and there is never techno music being played ever! more

Best cut/color! 8/7/2006

I recently went into blue velvet for the first time, and was blown away by the cut and color I got from Megan Titus, I would strongly recommend visiting this salon for the great atmosphere, and if you are like me and never know what to do with your hair, give Megan a call. more

Great Atmosphere and the employees are very experienced and professional 8/7/2006

This hair salon is a home away from home. Katrina is the best hairdresser I know, she has been doing my hair for 12yrs. I would not trust anyone else but her to do my hair, she is doing my hair for my wedding! Blue Velvet has a great vibe, music, art, and staff. more

great new place 8/7/2006

My hairstylist megan recently joined the staff at blue velvet salon. I went there for the first time last week and loved it!! megan rocks! I would follow her anywhere. Her color techniques are cutting edge and her scalp messages are mezmorizing. Im always impressed with her work.I would recommend Megan to anyone shes passionate about what she does and it shows. more

Anything from current fashion to retro hairstyles for those rock-a-billy events. Everyone is very friendly and it's a great experience from the time you walk in the door until you leave with a new look. The best salon I've seen. more

Great haircut! 8/6/2006

Katrina never fails to give me the best haircut ever! She always listens carefully to my ideas and concerns, and offers her opinion whenever called for. She follows a ""less is more"" rule and will cut the length in small increments to see what we think BEFORE proceeding to go shorter. The salon is always spotless and bright, the rotating art displays are always interesting, and the other stylists and staff are friendly and accommodating. I may be relocating to Texas soon, and will probably be making frequent trips back to L.A. for my haircuts! more

I love this place 8/6/2006

I went to this place with no idea what was going to happen to me. I got my hair done by Katrina and she was amazing. I never thought my hair could like this,I look like a movie star. And i got my eyebrows done by Nikki and I was in total shock they looked wonderful. This is were I'll be going for a long time to come. Pros: Amazing people more

The people at BlueVelvet are so nice and understanding. I'm so happy I found this place they cut and colored my hair and i look like a new person. I will be recommending all my friends to come and see how great this place is. I hope everyone comes to BlueVelvet to see what a great place it is. Theres art and music that is for all types of people not just one kind. And all the workers are very inviting to everyone. When I walked in there were more then three people who asked me if they can help me or if I needed anything to drink. You feel like at home very comfortable. more

I don?t know how she does it. Anna is just amazing. The work she does is impeccable and she is so friendly. She has been doing my hair for over 5 years now and no complaints. I always refer my friends and colleagues to Anna and she never disappoints. Anna does great quality work and has provided top notch service to her customers and does all of this with competitive prices. Check her out.
