We used Blue Sky (BS) Plumbing and Heating to replace a thermocouple on our water heater. BS replaced the thermocouple, billed us $205.00. Four days later we discovered a water on the floor of the mechanical room, we identified the cause; the drain tube on the humidifier was a disconnected. Water spilled through the mechanical room floor and into the crawl space, it pooled onto the vapor barrier in the crawl space; it has saturated the OSB flooring in the mechanical room and has wetted the fiberglass floor insulation in the floor joists. We called BS to report the problem. The Foreman called us back to say that BS felt it was ""simply coincidental"" that the drain tube for the humidifier ""popped off"" after the the BS technician did his work. The drain tube has never before leaked for 10 years! BS Plumbing and Heating has chosen to assume no responsibility to clean up the water in the crawl space, and replace the wetted insulation and to determine if water entered the ductwork. The BS tech was also not neat; he left a variety of small metal parts, and the packaging debris from the thermocouple on the mechanical room floor, he did a poor job of cleaning up after his ?work?. The GM of BS is absolving his company of any responsibility. We've called a water and damage restoration professional to vacuum the pooled water and replace the insulation. We paid BS for BS work and a BS attitude. Don't use this BS company, their work and their workmanship warranty is complete BS in our opinion.
Pros: they showed up on the day we called
Cons: they created a water problem, then refused to honor their workmanship warranty
