This is one of my favorite spots in the Boston area. The service is always pleasant; the food is always delicious, hot and interesting. I especially love the wine tasting nights! It is always a safe bet to take a menu recommendation from the staff, they are all very knowledgeable on all of their menus, wine and food. This is a very well run dining experience! Excellent Dining Experience 4/28/2004

This is one of my favorite spots in the Boston area. The service is always pleasant; the food is always delicious, hot and interesting. I especially love the wine tasting nights! It is always a safe bet to take a menu recommendation from the staff, they are all very knowledgeable on all of their menus, wine and food. This is a very well run dining experience! Skip the lamb 11/29/2003

I was promptly seated even though the restaurant was near capacity. Choice of entrees was limited and had some unusual sides. The wine list was extensive and had many good wines priced in the twenties. The scallop appetiser was excellent, the wild boar rillette passable. We waited another 25 minutes for the main courses...a cold rack of lamb atop a mound of dry buck wheat 'salad' and dates. Terrible, although recommended by the server. I wouldn't go back. Pros: wine list, validated parking, good atmosphere Cons: food, limited menu more

Never again 11/21/2002

I went to this restaurant with my job and thank god they paid! I did not like it one bit. The waitress was forgetful and the drinks were bad! They brought out everyones food except mine and another co-worker and we waited for about 15 minutes before our food finally arrived. Everyone else had already finished. The food was almost too gourmet to even enjoy and it seemed as though the chef spent more time on presentation than actually preparing food that was tasty. I would have much rather gone to a hole in the wall type restaurant and had buffalo wings than what I had. Needless to say I was still quite hungry when I left. and wouldn't go again unless the chef let me prepare the food myself. Pros: nice ambiance, i didn't have to pay Cons: bad service, food was not tasty, really bad drinks more

I've been going to MIT for four years, and I can't believe I waited so long to try this place. The food is great, the ambience is pretty cool (esp. the paintings on the wall), and the service was top notch. Not only did they not rush us out, the waitress even asked us if we were in a rush to catch a movie or something--if we were, she could speed up the service. We told her we didn't have any after plans for after dinner, and the rest of the meal was nice and leisurely. Try this place out! Definitely one of the best restaurants around the MIT area, on par with Legal Seafoods. Pros: food, service, ambience Cons: price more

I recently went to the Blue Room for brunch and the food was excellent. The brunch is served buffet-style. I must say this is not your typical brunch place with eggs and home fries. They serve the ""fancy"" brunch foods. You'll find asaparagus, salmon, funky refreshing salads, etc. Everything is fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend going there. It is on the pricey end so be prepared to drop $20. Oh and by the way, definitely make a reservation! Brunch is reservation only. Pros: great food, relaxing atmosphere Cons: expensive, location is not great more

I have to say, we went here with a little apprehension after reading some of the other reviews. However, our experience couldn't be more to the contrary of the other postings. We were seated immediately, our waiter had the most wonderful suggestions and was incredibly intelligible about how the dishes were prepared and what wine to pair with them, etc. We sat outside on the patio and had lovely ambience, excellent service and an absolutely delicious meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Perhaps we had a better experience being seated than other people seem to have had because we went on a Tuesday night, but if that's the case, I will continue to return here on the weekdays. A wonderful restaurant and a lovely evening. more
