I am so glad somebody suggested going to blue moon when my children broke my screen on my laptop. Fred is so wonderful. He fixed it in just a couple of days. They are where you should go if looking for the best in New England.... more

Its a dog eat dog world in the computer repair and maintenance business but not with these folks. I drove around all day looking for a computer shop because everyone closed up in Newport, except for people like Staples and Best Buy, which takes your box and sends it out somwhere to get it fixed... Just needed a new case that day to stuff everything back in but everyone seemed to be too busy so I had to drive a few extra miles to get to this place... These people actually took the time and went into their store room several times to check for things that might work for me. That was super... I really appreciate people that do that extra little bit when everyone is trying to make that quick buck off of you... I will certainly be going back there when I need something even though its quite a bit out of the way for me. Thanks you very much!!! The folks at Blue Moon Computers are great. It's the parking that isn't. I had to drive around their lot several times before I could finally get a space. Barbara was wonderful. She walked out to my car to carry in my tower for service and then upon pick up. THEY NEED A BIGGER LOT!!!!! I had just spilled a drink on and thus ruined my keyboard. I went to Blue Moon after going to Staples to see what they had for replacements. Blue Moon actually had more of a selection of keyboards and at prices less than half of the ""Big Box"". Being a local company, I'm not sure how they can offer products so low. I guess that it literally pays to shop local :-) Good overall experience though I had to fight with Karate moms for a parking space in Blue Moon's lot. Blue Moon has a technician named Fred who is just unbelieveable. I have a strong IT background and have brought a couple of nightmare computers to them for repair. I thought that I would get the typical ""it's so messed up, we'll have to blank it out"" response. Not at Blue Moon. This guy Fred is a wizard at his craft. Blue Moon Computers was a lifesaver to me! I brought my failing hard drive to 4 other repair firms in the state for data recovery to no avail. A good friend of mine referred Blue Moon Computers to me as she has had a service relationship with them over the past 7 years and is very satisfied with their work. Blue Moon (somehow) managed to recover all my data for me at a price that was less than half of the other firms' analysis fees!!
