Totally surprised at how bad this was. Heard lots of good things about them. Tried to see them in Vegas and Orlando but sold out. Glad I didn't spend my time or money there. No...

Great! 3/19/2006

The Blue Man Group plays 5 shows a week at the Charles Playhouse, and this long term engagement has been the best thing to happen to this venue in quite some time. The tickets can be a bit pricey- at $50+ per show, but if you stop by the Bostix stand in Faneuil Hall you can get them for half price on the day of performance if they still have seats left. The Blue Man Group is very entertaining and constantly updates their repetoire. Be aware if you sit in the first couple of rows that you may get covered in paint- they provide a rain tarp to avoid getting coated. more

Very cool 10/7/2005

I believe that The Blue Man group started here in Boston first. I have seen the show a couple of times over the years and been impressed each time. A couple of things you might not be expecting when you go: The Blue Men are actually pretty scary! :) If you are thinking about bringing children to the show, I would not necessarily recommend it. I can imagine that they might come away frightened. Also, the show gets SO HYPED UP by the media and by the word on the street that I would almost say I was disappointed, but it could not possibly have lived up to all the hype that it gets. It was a great show, but I would not call it anything near a "life changing experience" or some of the other things you hear. It is a fun thing to go spend an evening doing. Don't forget to leave your best clothes at home, especially if your seats are near the front row! It gets a little interactive and messy! Enjoy! more

Uniquely Entertaining 9/1/2005

Blue Man Group was a blast! It was the most fun that I've had in a long time. It's a unique experience that's hard to describe. Three men with blue painted faces perform various gags that are hilarious and clever. It is also interactive. You don't want to miss experiencing Blue Man Group. more

Wow 8/3/2005

Blue Man Group is an incredible, awe inspiring performance for all the senses! It is a show for the entire family, incorporating music, lights and movement (and some paint) into an incredibly enjoying experience. It is hard to describe, but everyone in theater walks away humming the songs and with a giant smile on their face. It's a wonderful experience for all and it is very interactive. Be careful...if you sit too close to the stage, you may get soaked. It's ok, because the theater provides ponchos for those in the "soak zone". Definitely do not come in your best clothing though! Everyone should go see it at least once! more

Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse 7/20/2005

Ushering for Blue Man Group has to be one of the best things I have done since coming to Boston. I just can't believe that more people don't know about it. If you call the Charles Playhouse and offer to usher, they will tell you what night they need you to help. All you have to do is show up one hour before the show starts wearing black, then show the audience members to their seats. You get to watch the show for free, then help clean up for about 15 minutes after it ends. The show is absolutely amazing - the Blue Men are so much fun to watch. A combination of sttage acting and stunning technical achievements, it's like a mixture of a Broadway musical and a rave. Anyone of any age can do it. An amazing show, and for free! more
