Finally --- fine dining in Sherman TX 2/16/2011

Service was attentive and friendly. Food was well prepared, distinctive in taste and excellent value. We have Tuscan Chicken and a pork chop in an apple/maple syrup glaze. I particularly enjoyed the BYO wine and very reasonable corkage fee. The owner came to the table often to check how we were doing. She was very personable. We thoroughly enjoyed the time inside the Blue Door. more

Made a reservation waited 3 hours at table... 1/15/2006

This would have been a great night. 12 friends together to celebrate 2 birthdays. We made reservations, and we were accomodated. We ordered our food, then after an hour we noticed people that arrived after we did were enjoying dinner, 2 1/2 hours later, half of us got food which was warm, but not hot. The owner came around and we expressed our feelings about the timeliness of service, all he would do for us was offer free dessert. The food was good, but the service was not. Great food in a casual setting. 6/4/2005

In downtown Sherman, the Blue Door is serves finely crafted food from a varied menu that includes steaks, fish, lamb, vegetarian, Indian, and Mediterranean entrees. Great Greek salads, interesting appetizers, and wonderful desserts. The service is attentive and friendly, and the chef/owner, Chanta, is often found visiting with customers. This restaurant survives with a loyal following of locals who tired of driving to Dallas when better food was at the Blue Door for half the price. Bring your own wine and liquor.
