Just moved out of Worcester this summer and, man, do I miss this place. The quality and innovation of the seasonal menus is exceptional, especially in comparison to the rather boring and predictable fare that is so prevalent in Worcester. This small bistro is so tastefully done and is impeccably clean. It always amazed me that this little place wasn't more crowded when I would stop by. The menu features soups (the BEST clam chowder I've ever eaten), salads (so fresh and generously portioned), and sandwiches that are just incredible (the BEST chicken salad ever made. no need for discussion on this.). The combinations are so creative and delicious, with all sorts of different ethnic influences to keep things interesting. And, dear God, the desserts!!! The Blue Cricket Bistro makes some of the best food in all of central Massachusetts. If you're even remotely in the area, it's worth your while to check this place out. It will most likely become part of your weekly dining ritual. In a city that has been somewhat predictable on the dining front, this little place gives hope that Worcester may be coming into its own.
