Blu Razz

I went to try it out, we sat at the bar. 3 employees (one could have been the manager or owner) talked behind the bar and acted like we were not present. We waited 5 minutes and left...never to go back. Too bad, because the Thornwood sub division neighbors are looking for a place to just get together and have a fun. There are a few places close that have less of an atmosphere...but better people. Based on the other reviews...it seems that the Blu Razz would be lucky to last a year before it is forced to close it's doors. Pros: Close Cons: Management has no clue more

well the only good thing I can say about this place is it's a local no charge club! besides that they GET NO LOVE! be sure to never check your coats in at there lovely coat check(not!). Me and my husband went there for a birthday celebration and decided to check in our coats with the "ditzy" coat checker which should have been my first red flag to not give this person the responsability of watching mine and my husbands jacket! I paid my 4$ 2 hours later came back only to find out she had given my jacket and my husbands jacket to someone else, then has the nerve to ask me if I didn't take them and just forgot! The only thing the "simple" managment could do was give us a businees card and send us out in 0 degress weather with no coats in hand no refund in hand and his card to show for it! To this day he has dodged our calls and refuses to admit any wrong doing on his incompetent staff!! never again if you go to this place better leave everything you don't want lost at home!!! We arrived and The hostess sat us right away. Then No one acknowledged us for at least ten minutes, And that was only because we had to get up and ask for someone to come to our table. By the time we were asked if we wanted water at least 15 minutes had bone by. When the waitress did come by she just asked us if we wanted water and then walked away, we wanted to order drinks appetizers and our dinner at that time. Our waitress had an attitude. Our Waitress did not ask us for our order for another 20 minutes. Our appetizers took forever and were cold. We spoke to the Owner to complain and we never got replacement appetizers he also told us that he would speak to the waitress about her attitude. She came back even angrier, her attitude was worse and she visited our table even less infrequently. I ordered the Lemon Butter Chicken, the chicken was good, the Veggies were still partly frozen and the Wild rice was actually Mexican rice. When the bill came we spoke to the owner again because of the attitude of our waitress and the cold food. We asked for a discount on the appetizer and he said that after we complained the first time he went to look at the schedule and his waitress took to long because of the shift change. And he could not give us a discount or compensate us for the cold food or bad service. As the owner of a restaurant, my Customers are #1!! We take Customer service as priority and if for some reason there is something wrong with food we completely replace the entire meal or it is free. I would not recommend Blu Razz to Anyone! I dance my axx off so when I go to a club I want to meet likewise people and every time visited I have a good time. However less structured (line & couples) dances. The DJ will play requests as long as it is modern. The music is very pure quality and varied. I have never heard a slow song so if U wanna romance that's a bit harder. I don't generally like a club that allows drinking/smoking on the dance floor. Thats where people get careless and even obnoxios. Blu allows drinking so you have to put up with the mop people. I have heard comment (from chicks) "Too many chicks". The bartenders and tendress' are talented and put on a fun show during the night & long Islands are real and of good value. The waitresses are personable and prompt. It does get crowded so be prepaird to stand a bit. With a 2am. license, the younger clientele tend to drink hard and fast. Might be better to go early. This restaurant presents a unique club-like environment in the far northwest suburbs. The quality and quantity of food is more than worth its price. Most offerings actually come with soup or salad - something you don't see at most nicer restaurants in the Chicagoland area. The decor is very cool - dark and cozy, with a lot of accent lighting and wonderful (and clean) saltwater fish tanks. The service was friendly and efficient, even at 8pm on a Saturday night. I can only hope that the success of this trendy nightspot can open the door for other similar restaurants in this burgeoning area of the suburbs! The place was in the burbs but I really felt like I was in Las Vegas really great atmosphere, the owners come to the tables to see how things were I thought that was inviting. There are 2 huge fish tanks and walls made of water with some real cool lighting. The food was just awsome. It's the strangest thing it's like a loungy restaraunt that at a certain time of the night it turns into a nightclub. There are people from young to old in there its really different.
