This place was awesome....I went for breakfast and the food was great. When I found out about it thru word of mouth and loved it. Then I met the owner, his hospitality was great. I ventured into one of the theme night dinners and was even more blown away. This is one of hollywoods best kept secrets. Hopefully it won't get to popular. It still has that neighborhood feeling. more

The best breakfast deal in town - great taste and options at a fair price. Everyone will learn your name and treat you like family. Quality ingredients handled with mastery. The Sonoma salad is my favorite lunch, my husband swears by the hamburgers with carmelized onions! Try it, you'll be hooked! more

The staff at Blu Jam put the passion and attention to detail into every dish that we all can only hope our doctors and surgeons have. This is what propels this Melrose bistro into the light as the model of what a restaurant should be...hopefully other L.A. eateries will learn from Kamil's example. More impressive than the abundance of variety on the menu is the precise (and delicious) execution of each dish. The daily brunch menu offers tastes from around the world, fused together in harmony. I have tried to go through every dish on the menu, and still have a long way to go. It is hard for me to pick a favorite, but try the many variations on eggs Benedict, you will not be disappointed. Or start your day off with a sweeter disposition by indulging in Blu Jam's famous crepes, and washing it down with some delicious gourmet teas. \r \r I could go on about how delicious the food is, but go in and try it for yourself (especially the soup). Not only will you not be disappointed with the quality of food, but you might walk out with a new family. This is also what sets Blu Jam apart. The staff all share Kamil's passion for his product and customers. They are knowledgeable and dedicated, and have never steered me wrong with a suggestion. I would imaging it is hard for them not to be infected by the enthusiasm Kamil shows, befriending all who walk in his doors, and always ready to discuss the smallest details of his dishes, to the wondrous local art that graces his walls. \r \r In a place like Hollywood, it is refreshing find a place where the customers enjoyment is more important than the status of the customer. I love that place. If you want to experiment original and yummy brunches, run and hug Kamil. You will discover a ""jazzy"" restaurant. A place quiet like a sunday morning at home. Hooray for the arrival of Blujam!! The menu is inventive, interesting and best of all it delivers! Everything I have had there is delicious and fresh. The chef makes a point of coming out and saying hello to his diners making them feel welcome and genuinely concerned about the experience each person is having. I have been there on the special occasion that crepes got sent to our table unexpectedly and each bite was heaven. I have become a weekend regular and try something new each time.
