I kind of agree with ProudDad1... 6/9/2011

I wouldnt go as far as giving it one star but honestly all the points this guy makes are completely valid... it seems like the preshcoolers are very happy but the infant rooms are understimulating to say the least... \r \r I will say that i think my son is well cared for as far as feeding and changing, sleep schedule, etc... i just think he gets little to no practice in motor skill development and i often see him sitting alone when i pick him up... and it does bother me that there are so many toddlers in the infant room.... not what we were promised....\r \r But overall i do feel that my child is in pretty good hands every day and dont worry about his safety... just not that thrilled with the place... more

Thank you for everything you and your teachers have done. 5/5/2011

I can’t believe that is has been 5 ½ years since we started coming to Blossom Station! Thank you for everything you and your teachers have done. I am especially grateful that you generously allowed me to contribute to the household income by giving us a great rate and being very, very patient with us through the financial difficulties we have been going through. I wish you, your family, and the Blossom Station good luck. Have a wonderful summer! Thank you again. more

A Real Review From A Real Dad 4/11/2011

So 12 5 star reviews nice and evenly spaced out in the last 4 months....... hmmmmmm OK Brenda...... Warning #1: Beware the contract. They demand a minimum of two months notice. If you do not like the care they are providing, it is very difficult to leave. If you do, make sure is before the first of the month because if you give notice on April 2nd, you are subject to Three months notice! Even if you hate the place. The average withdrawl notification for nearby daycares is 2 weeks to 1 month. When you get substandard care, it is difficult to leave. Warning #2: Price is negotiable We learned that other parents were recieving discounted rates. We felt uncomfortable that we were paying more than other parents for the same care. Warning #3 Our child was not provided appropriate age related activities. Our child was significanlty older than the children in his class and was not being provided appropriate stimulative activites. We expressed our concern and desire for our child to advance to the next class. We were told that Blossom Station was going to hire a new teach for that classrom (which was currently empty) and our child would advance. This was continously delayed. Blossom Station hired that teacher and decided to place her into Pre-School classes rather than open the room we were promised. Blossom Station did not inform us. We found out though other teachers. We feel that Blossom Station was making staffing decions based on the their needs, not our child's needs. We were not compfortable with the staff tunover. Our child had five separate primary teachers in thirteen months. Only one of the teacher changes was due to advancing to a new classroom. Warning #4 Dropoff conditions made us feel uncomfortable. We dropped off our child into the ""Infant One"" room which was designated for the youngest infants. Our son is/was a toddler being careed for by the same teachers responsible for the youngest of babies. Also, we often found that the infant/teacher ratio was exceded during dropoff hours. The staff often places the toddlers into highchairs during these hours. Warning #5 Pickup condition made us feel uncomfortable. Blossom Station places all of the toddlers into multi-toddler strollers at the end of the day. Our average pickup time was 5:30pm. If we were to run late, our child would be subject to long periods in the stroller. The stroller would be placed in the reception area for the parents to pick them up. They would be superviesed by the desk area personel. more

sad to leave many great friends behind 3/24/2011

Thank you so much for all of the generosity that you offered us. It is so greatly appreciated. It is with mixed emotions that I must say that we are moving. We are so excited to be close to family, but are also sad to leave many great friends behind-especially the wonderful staff and children at Blossom Station. more

I felt as though everyone was there to help 3/18/2011

I felt as though everyone was there to help us and make my daughter and I feel comfortable. I felt comfortable leaving my child at Blossom Station because many of the teachers have raised chidlren themselves and they know what to expect. When I was talking with the administrators my daughter played with the other Pre-school children and was really enjoying it. more

They are made welcome by the outstanding staff as they enter the building every morning at 7:30 a.m.( for the past six years)The children walk into a curriculum activity every day. The center is impeccable and very well maintained. The rooms are colorful, cheerful and always have new toys available for the children. The bathrooms are always in perfect repair. Not only are we impressed with the facility, staff 3/8/2011

My two and a half year old daughter attends Blossom Station. Not only are we impressed with the facility, staff, and administration, but we are also very pleased with the progress she is making. She has become very proud of her independence and we simply cannot get her to stop talking about all her friends and teachers at school. We receive a daily toddler sheet filled out by her teacher's that shows what and how she ate for snacks and lunch. We also get to see when and how long she napped. In addition, we are able to see exactly what she did that day. The teacher even includes a monthly calendar to let you know what each topic of the week will be. (ex. Spring week, things that are green week, etc.)I have been able to develop personal relationships with the staff and administration. They are very sweet and welcoming. The other children and parents are also social and friendly. I can not express how happy we are to have our daughter attending BS. I can guarantee you that she will be much more well prepared for school then children in other centers, and that's exactly why we pay what we pay. As far as some of the other reviews reporting bees and posion ivy, give me a break. If your child is allergic to either of these, I can assure you the teachers will take all necessary precautions. We all love our kids, but we also have to allow them to live a little and get dirty from time to time. We have to let them fall down and scuff their knees, that's how they'll learn. I cannot recommend Blossom Station enough. Simply wonderful. more
