I ordered a dozen red roses to be delivered to my girlfriend from Bloomtown's website at 11am and confirmed same day delivery. The delivery address was literally across the street (Airport Freeway) in an office building which you can see from Bloomtowns front door.
The driver evidently could not find the address (amazing) and called my girlfriends cell phone (thus losing the element of a "surprise delivery" altogether) to try and locate the address. My girlfriend had actually gotten off work already but came back and waited in the parking lot for the driver to arrive. He not only never showed up, but would not answer his mobile phone when she attempted to called him back. She waited in the parking lot 30 minutes.
After contacting me to ask if I was having flowers delivered to her (again now anti-climatic), I began trying to phone the florist office (before their published closing time of 5pm) with no answer.
The flowers were finally delivered the next morning.
When I went to the shop to discuss this, the delivery guy was very defensive immediately and said he tried to deliver the flowers but my girlfriend was not there. I said yes I know she was off work, but came back to her office and you never showed nor would you answer your phone. His response was "I was off work and I dont answer my phone when I am off work). To me that says it all about their customer satisfaction policy.
The manager lady then came out and said she didnt appreciate me "cursing her employees" and "did not like my attitude". I NEVER used a curse word. The she backed off and said she couldnt hear very well...duh!
Regarding not answering the store phone between 4p-5p she said they were on "summer hours" and closed at 4pm. (store website says 5pm). She said that was "not her problem". She then asked me to leave.
I could never recommend this florist to anyone. Not only did they fail to deliver the flowers on time, they took the tactic of arguing with the customer rather than immediately apologizing and rectifying things
