this company was so professional, i was compelled to write this review. they sold us plantation shutters for our home in port st. lucie. they came back and did the instalation in two weeks. they look so good i love to wake up and look at them every day. more

Like others on this board Chris came across to us as sincere and professional. We talked specifics on the installation such as - baseboards at slider would be intact when they were through, etc. He guaranteed me verbally there would be on issues. The result is that one piece of baseboard is missing and one was cut too short so it's missing about a half inch at the end. The most annoying piece though is that on the slider shutters they hardly clear the floor so that they can be moved. They will not fold against the wall like they were supposed too. One section of one shutter has vanes that will not close. more

i was so satisfied with their service , i recomended them to my neighbor. they care about their customers and i am so happy we used them. great product, great service, and great attitudes. more

I would give no stars if I could. This guy may come across as a good guy once you believe that he has you hooked.he will take your money do terrible work and dissapear.if what you want is to get ripped off by all means give him the job.you are better off flushing your money down the toilet and walking around your house with no blinds. more

i highly recomend this company. we had ordered shutters from another local company and they charged us alot more and their instalation was not great. then we called blind shack to put shutters in the rest of our house and they were better priced and a much higher quality. I am so impressed with their job. great job guys more

my wife is always skeptical of people and she did not believe that they would do what they promised, so they said dont pay us till we are done!!! i couldn't belileve it. more

Buyer Beware! I have never taken the time to write a review before but on reading some of the other reviews about this company I have to level the playing field because I can only assume that the positive reviews listed here have either been written by Blind Shack themselves or members or this family business! DO NOT use this company unless you want to be highly disappointed and out of pocket. We chose Chris and his company because he came across as such a nice guy and we made the mistake of trusting him. We paid 1000's of $$$ for Plantation Shutters which he and his employees completely ruined on installation, every single shutter and frame is splitting since no pilot holes were drilled prior to fixing the magnets or door hinges, the shutters do not close properly, some of the frames are not even flush with the window frames and the handles are starting to break as well, all this after a few months! We need to replace everything so we have lost a ton of money and cannot believe that other customers have had a good experience by giving him 5 stars because we wouldn't give him 1* but we have to in order to rate him! more

Let me start by saying that i would never publicly criticize an independent company without absolute good reason, after all it is someones bread & butter. However on this occasion i feel compelled to say my bit. Chris comes across as a really nice chap & this is why we chose Blindshack... BIG Mistake!! We ordered 16 Plantation shutters & frames for our new home in Jupiter (our Dream Home). When they first arrived i had concerns over the color as I'm sure i ordered a darker wood stain & the frames were totally not what i had ordered! Chris said that they were but after a while he admitted that he had it wrong & would order new frames but not the color. 2 weeks later they came to refit the new frames still the wrong color but he convinced us that it would look great. When they were fitting the frames they were all cracking as they did not drill any pilot holes, when this was pointed out they said that they will use smaller screws instead, but carried on fitting them even though they knew the frames would have to come out again & to make it even worse they did the same when attaching the magnets. ALL 16 frames are split & need replacing, Chris even signed a letter to say he will replace all of them (this was 3 months ago). My Wife has been in tears over this! 3 months on we have noticed that on all the shutters that have hinges, were not pilot holed so they are all expanding on every single shutter so they don't close properly or line up evenly. We are now seeking legal advise as Blindshack does not return e-mails or calls unless they want a bit more deposit, We have given them options to address this situation but alas Nothing! I cannot believe that some of these other posts are written by genuine customers.. Very Very awful workmanship all around. I got 2 other companies around to take a look at our property to inspect at a cost to me & they confirm that they have rarely seen such bad workmanship for a supposed qualified tradesperson & agree that the whole lot needs replacing. Please people get recommendations before you outlay such a big expense. I have now learned my lesson! I call them BlindCRACK now as all of my Shutters have multiple ones in them!! AND we have photos to prove it, if anyone who is a true customer would like to see them, feel free to post your requests here and we will post the evidence of this shoddy company and their poor workmanship! Also i would like to add that if chris does not get back to me i will copy/paste the signed letter from him! & put it on here. more

i am a very detailed oriented person and i was so impressed with their selections. I love my shutter with the great trim all around. I am usually hard to please and have never given a 5 star review before!!! more

Avoid this guy at all costs he will take your money and make you bust before he does the work if he does it at all. If he does do it the quality of his work is terrible. My guess is that any positive reviews are written by him more

I MIGHT THINK ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY.I AM A VENDOR HE HAS NOT PAID,THIS LEAVES ME NO OPTION BUT TO LEIN YOUR HOMES(I HAVE 45 DAYSUNDER FLA LAW).HOPEFULLY CHRIS COMES BACK AFTER HE TAKES YOUR DEPOSIT.IM NOT SAYING HE WON'T BUT I WILL. PEOPLE LIKE THIS HURTS OUR BUSINESS,MY EMPLOYEES,MY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE.
