Bleach

I've been going to Bleach for a couple of years now, which is saying a lot - as I shopped around for a good cut, cost, location and atmosphere - in the past. I'm happy to report I've found all these things at Bleach. I've never seen a Bleach Client leave unhappy with their service. The collaboration and friendly atmosphere makes getting your hair done the experience it should be: enjoyable and easy. The staff aren't just friendly, they are friends. Each stylist has their own following, but each one will also recommend everyone else in a pinch. I'd drive forever to get to Bleach, but I'm fortunate, as I don't have to. I love Bleach, and I highly recommend this salon to everyone. more

I didn't understand my hair until I had the good fortune to meet Shelly! She has been cutting my hair for years -- I have had it super short, and now it's grown out -- something I thought I could never, ever do. All of the staff are very creative, confident, and friendly, and care about their customers. It's a really fun place, and one of a kind. more

I love Bleach. I've been going there for several years now and I continue to go for many reasons. The staff is awesome and experienced. They are always professional and hold themselves to a high standard of customer service. It is so refreshing to go to a small locally owned salon rather than the ""big box salon"". I get personal attention and genuine care. Shelly cuts my hair. Sometimes I wear my hair curly and sometimes straight and she is superb at cutting and styling it both ways. I have become known as the girl who always brings in a celebrity picture and asks Shelly to ""make me look like her"". Shelly always comes through!!! She is very patient with my nitpicky attitude when it comes to my hair. I love love love Bleach!!! more

I have been going to Bleach for a long time now and it is a fantastic salon. (Shout out to Shelly) The atmosphere is cool, relaxed and the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, ready and willing to help you improve upon the style you already have,or invent a new one. I started going to Shelly about five years ago, and I haven't had a bad hair day since. My hair is curly, and Shelly knows how to cut curly hair. Shelly is also fabulous with color and foils. Once, when I was between appointments and desperate to cover my grey, I totally messed up and made my hair an Elvira-of-the-night BLACK. I called Shelly in a panic and she got me in for an emergency repair right away. All of the salon staff are friendly and work together. And you never, ever feel like you're in an infomercial for a hair product; they have fabulous products, but no one pushes them on you in any way. It's a great salon. more

Don't let the name of the salon fool you--they do more than just ""bleach"" jobs. Their expertise in cutting and coloring is obvious from every person that walks out their door. Shelly Hatting has been cutting and coloring my hair for about fifteen years. She is a gifted stylist who listens attentively, but also makes suggestions about styles that may be more flattering to my face shape and personality. I have the utmost respect for her techniques. This place is funky yet approachable. I highly recommend their services. more

Michelle Schneider gave me one of the best haircuts I've had in the past 30 years. She listened carefully to what I was unhappy about (from my previous haircut) and she made it not only right, but way better than I could have imagined. This woman is truly gifted. I see Michelle ONLY !! I have been following Michelle for almost 7 years now from her previous salon in my town and drive almost 45 minutes to her new location at Bleach...and if she moved to Timbucktwo I would make the drive there as well. I cannot say enough good things about her, she always listens to what I WANT, while encouraging me on the latest styles. I am a consistant highlighter and have had bad bad bad experiences in the past with that...and then I found Michelle, and it has been awesome eversince. She is super fun, with a edgy style for fashion that is exactly what people need in a stylist (in my opinion). I have referred all my friends and family to her and have never regreted it. I found this salon on the web, because it was close to my neighborhood. I had such a great experience that I would drive cross town to get my haircut there again. Michelle is stylist extraordinaire! Michelle actually listened to what I wanted to do with my style and gave me a fresh hip easy to manage look. I also enjoyed the highlights that she put in to freshen up my existing color. Bleach is a great salon. It is comfortable and stylish with a great group of stylists. AmberJean is the only gal that I let touch my hair, and she is fabulous. If you are looking for a salon that will provide you with a stylish cut and any color of the rainbow, this is the place for you! Jackie is wonderful! I've had long hair since I was 10 and wanted to go short. I brought a photo of what I had in mind and she listened & made sure she understood what I wanted. She gave ideas about length & shape based on my face type, but didn't pressure. She was gentle with my hair (unlike a lot of stylists who rake the brush through, pulling & breaking...). I am SO happy with my new cut/style! I never thought my hair could look this good! I can't think of a single thing negative to say about my experience. My sister and a friend of hers recommended me to Bleach, I'm a guy so the emphasis on coloring made me a little uneasy, But i was surprised, Aaron, my stylist was excellent, and gave me great advice on how to style my hair (which is thinning and to compliment i have a high hairline) I came out feeling great about my haircut and I'd recommend it to any one of my friends. It was the first time that I had highlights put in for years and Amberjean was amazing. She was careful to make sure that we were on the same page before she did anything. The entire experience was great and she will have a return customer as long as she is with Bleach. I would recomend her to anyone getting a highlight. I had really high hopes for this salon, and while all the other customers looks pleased with their results, and the atmosphere was nice, the highlight I received was absolutely awful. I asked for natural looking, small highlights, nothing dramatic or chunky, and I got huge, chunky, nearly-white blond highlights. Definitely not worth the cheaper price. It might have just been the person I had though (don't care to name names). Pros: Parking, the head massage they do when they wash your hair. Cons: Quality not even worth the low price. more

Last summer I went to one of those cheapo salons and they butchered my hair. Unfortunately it was the day before a big date. I frantically called area salons to see who could help me. Shelley was the 1st to respond and also the nicest. She personally took me the next morning and gave me the most incredible haircut of my life. The boy didn't end up working out but I've been with Shelley ever since! I refuse to go anywhere else. My whole life I've been extremely nervous getting my haircut, alway inspecting each cut afterwards for flaws. Shelley's work is flawless and I don't even give it a 2d thought to go in there and tell her to do whatever she likes with it. I've highlighted my hair since I was 16 and I went to the same lady who never changed a thing, wouldn't listen to my suggestions, and bleached my hair to death. I treasure my long hair and I was sick of it being ruined. On a gutsy whim, I called the number for Bleach after reading the reviews and Aaron answered. He could do my hair the next day, no problem. He was so friendly and funny! The minute I walked in, I felt comforted. Everyone looked happy to be getting their hair done there and the employees looked happy to be there. The reviews are spot on...Aaron did an AMAZING highlight job and his haircuts make you feel like a movie star. Very polished and meticulous. He listened to what I wanted and performed it to perfection. He didn't even make fun of my magazine cut-outs for reference. He blew out my hair to perfection and didn't try to style it weird or poofy like some smaller salons do. My boyfriend saw me later and could not keep his hands off me. He said I looked so hot and my hair was shiny and bouncy. He will never let me get my hair done anywhere else and for every holiday, I've gotten a certificate for Bleach.\r Don't be skeptical, it's the real deal! What a great salon! After a horrible experience with another salon rated highly on Citysearch for color I was almost a little scared to find somewhere for my husband to go when he wanted his hair done. I called some salons near our home who said, after hearing that he wanted fire engine red chunks in his dyed black hair that they ""didn't do that"", then decided to take one more chance on a reviewed salon at Citysearch. We called Bleach and were referred to Amber Jean who did an absolutely amazing job with his hair - he LOVES the results and Amber Jean even went above and beyond to fix the color after a minor mishap at home. I now have an appointment for myself to have some extensions done and we will definitely recommend Bleach and Amber Jean to all of our friends! The ratings for this salon are justified, particularly in regards to coloring. I look and feel like a new person, it is always amazing how much a good color and cut can enhance one's appearance. I love having great hair and I have received that each of the three times I have been to Bleach; I cannot say that about some of the other highly rated salons in the cities to which I have been. I also loved the cute little chunk of colored extensions they put in last time I was in. They are so fun and inexpensive. I do think it is a little strange that my stylist has to stop working on me to answer the phone and the painting on the wall is not so cute, but the girls who work there certainly are and the work they do is fabulous. Go to this fantastic salon for appearance-enhancing hair from attitude-free, stylish stylists, but don't bother trying to admire the art. Veronica cuts, colors, and styles my hair to perfection. Every time she does it I feel so beautiful and proud of my new look! She is an artist who knows what looks best for each individual based on facial structure and shape. She is creative and very knowledgable when it comes to style and what is in!
