The Blarney Stone is, in my opinion, hands-down the best bar in Baltimore. Something between a corner bar and an Irish pub, the Stone is a refreshing oasis in the jungle of college yuppie bars in Fell's Point.
Aside from the low low prices, the Stone has daily specials on their draft beers. Of course, for a truly authentic Baltimore experience, you'll need to order a Natty Boh (Baltimore's finest, National Bohemian beer - "from the land of pleasant living.")
As this is an Irish bar, the clientele really help make the Stone what it is, laid back, yet lively. You won't find annoying hipsters or frat boys here, just Baltimore locals, who welcome non-locals with a smile (and maybe a dirty limerick.)
Perhaps the greatest boon for the Stone are the bartenders, who are friendly, smart, funny, and most importantly...know how to make a drink! And you won't have to wait long either, even on a busy Friday or Saturday night.
There are a few TVs which are usually set to ESPN (Sundays during football season are always fun here), but don't worry, this isn't a jock bar.
Other highlights: a great jukebox (no bland, generic top 40 music here!); a pool table; dartboard; Golden Tee (a perennial favorite); two megatouch machines; and a Dirty Harry pinball machine! There's also an ATM on the premises.
