A tip is something that you GIVE . Something the server will EARN if they give good service. The better service the better the tip. This place is a bag of crap! and the management...

Amazing food, great service 1/27/2009

If this is the same place I went several times now (w.date) It is fabulous. I have been trying to track the place for months and finally I think I have found it. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is nice, and the service is great. I will have to check out the directions and head that way next week. Friendly staff and a great, awesome bartendar that always has a smile and greets you when you enter the bar area. Pros: great location and lots of fun people more

Good neighborhood steak place 1/11/2009

The valet service was not great. When we pulled up, there were cars facing the opposite direction and no one directing the traffic, so we just pulled into a parking spot. When we walked in, the hostess greeted us with ""hello"" and then just looked as us, so we said we'd like a table for 2. She asked us if we had a reservation and I said, ""no."" We were immediately seated at a table. Our waitress was very friendly and walked us through the specials. Our drinks took a while, but our waitress was apologetic and brought some fresh bread, which was good. We had the calamari, which we found to be unique in preparation and delicious. I had a 12 oz. filet mignon, which was also very good. I ordered it rare and it definitely came out rare (I'll probably go with medium rare next time). My wife had the lamb, which was very good and cooked perfectly. I wasn't able to finish my steak--it was huge!--so our waitress boxed the leftovers up for us and thoughtfully labeled the box with date--a nice touch. Overall, service and food were very good and we only encountered a few minor kinks in the experience. We'll be returning to Blackstone. For the first time not being a steak lover, my wife & daugther took me out for Fathers Day. This was hands down the BEST FOOD & DESSERT EVER. The staff was great, Jen ROCKS. We really had a great experience with Blackstone. If anyone dares say to you that this place is not Great, please go see for yourself. The price is great for the amount of food, also you have to get one of their many desserts. Compared to your other Steak place ie: Stoney River, Chops, Capital Grille and Ruth Chris, they do not hold a candle to Blackstone. Thanks Blackstone Staff for making my Fathers Day complete. Waiter's GUM in my take home box!!! 6/6/2008

Who knows, they may add their 'own ingredients' in the food before it arrives at your table. I called the manager to tell of this ugly experience and he replied, "I will take care of you when you return." Like I am going back to say 'I am the woman with gum in her food" Pros: If you like your waiter's chewed gum in your food, eat here. Cons: Chewed GUM in my food. I almost lost control of my stomach. more

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD!!! 5/23/2007

First off we had a reservation for a party of 8 people at 9:00 PM, but we were not seated until 9:45 PM. Our waiter was okay...until I checked my credit card statement Monday morning and discovered the amount that was posted on my account was MORE THAN what I signed for at the restaurant. This was very upsetting to me especially since all the news reporters have been talking about credit card cloning lately. When I contacted the GENERAL MANAGER he said he was going to ""investigate"" to make sure it was the servers fault...as if I was lying about what happened. Great down to earth steak place 8/9/2006

Great Service. Relaxing atmosphere, non-pretentious. Steak is very good, but wouldn't consider it the best. Great bar area with TV's and live music on some evenings. Pros: Ambience, Parking, Service more

Forgettable experience 7/17/2006

The service was excellent. However, I ordered an entre with fish and asparagus and was hoping it would be healthy. The fish was ok, but the asparagus was covered in a very thick and fatty butter. The asparagus/butter combination was also not warm enough to endure the suffering. Also, looking around the establishment, I and my date noticed we were the only 20 somethings there, the bar was quiet and depressing, filled with 50 plus year olds. There was live acoustic guitar music, but the song choices were grunge and alternative, which does not make one want to smile and feel good about yourself. Overall this was an overpriced and depressing dinner experience which is under par with the rest of Atlanta. Its actually ridiculous that they have valey service, and when you walk in you're listening to grungy acoustical cover songs that make you feel like your in some hole in the wall. Cons: bad music, loud, pour quality food more

I was in town on business and was taken there for dinner by the CEO of the company I work for...needless too say it was just right a down to earth spot with great food & service...I will certainly return there for dinner on my next trip to Atlanta.... more

Very pleased 3/1/2006

I must say I didn't experience the same rude customer service from previous reviews AND my boyfriend and I first tried Blackstone for Valentine's Day! The hostess lacked in the 'personality department', but our server was fantastic and so was the food. Very happy. I'm a regualr Garrison's patron, but I will now divide my time between the two. Pros: food, our server, ambience more

miserable experience 2/5/2006

On December 23rd, 2005 our party of 6 arrived for a 7:00pm reservation. We were sitted on time by the hostess but it was downhill from there. It was 7:15 before our waiter arrived. By 7:30 we finally had our wine, our average appetizers arrived by 7:50 and and hour and twenty minutes after we arrived we finally got our salads. Our entire party became quite restless as we patiently tried to get a hold of our waiter for some attention. He was overwhelmed as was the kitchen. He promised us 3 times to return to tell us about coffee and desert. We finally just begged for the check. He was apologetic but offered us nothing to make up for the poor service and mediocre meal. I e mailed the restaurant twice but got no reply. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere! Cons: poor service, overpriced, mediocre food more
