Bj's Restaurant & Brewhouse

I've ordered twice and the results were very different. The chicken Caesar was good with crisp lettuce and a good amount of ingredients. The mushroom appetizer was excellent and the mixed berry dessert was warm and delicious. The vanilla bean ice cream was good the first time and tasted freezer burned the second time. The Caesar side salad had limp lettuce, very little Parmesan cheese, but the dressing was good. The loaded potato skins were all right, but the skin could have been crispier and whoever assembled them didn't get much of the toppings actually on the skins. Very little bacon was used. The food was nothing spectacular. Ordered Mediterranean deep dish pizzas. Not much sauce and the chicken was dry. The stuffed mushrooms were tasteless & the dipping sauce was all grease. The child?s grilled cheese & salad was just what I expected but the oil/vinegar dressing wasn?t premixed & the balsamic vinegar was very overpowering. It took over 2 hours for delivery on a Friday afternoon & we live only 1 mile away. The food was cold when it did arrive. When I called to check on the status of our order, I was told it had just left but they could only look it up by the contents of my order. It?s a third-party delivery company and BJ?s doesn?t take orders directly for delivery to expedite the process. BJ?s did call back & refund my delivery fee but should have been proactive & called to alert me to the expected delay & maybe offered a coupon for a future visit. Ordering for delivery is supposed to offer convenience and an enjoyable experience. more
