Best

I've been going to this place for the past ten years and quite frankly have seen it grow from a small wine bar with barely ten tables and some small appetizers - to a full bar wit...

Just another bar 9/24/2008

I have been there several times, always hoping for an improvement. I have since decided that it isn't going to get any better since everything and everyone is the same. The food is passe, and the service, well, Al has one great waitress and the rest should be served their walking papers. They are very unfriendly, never smile, and the bartender is very rude, depending on if you are male or female. The entertainment needs improvement. Tony David, the main entertainer there is very good. He is very entertaining and has an award winning smile and personality. His sidekick, Pam?, however; should hang up her voice. It is very loud, piercing and obnoxious. Boring to say the least. She has no real relay of emotion, and music is feeling, passion. He does have singers get up to perform at times. Some are exceptionally good. One in particular is excellent. A male, who sings classical music. Beautiful voice. He performs on Monday nights and I do enjoy hearing him.\r Al is different from day to day. There are some people that he is wonderful to, while others he basically shuns.\r \r If you could get past that female singer that Tony has and the prices as well, the place could be great.\r Pros: Tony David Cons: Tony's partner and some of the staff more

Disappointing-can't handle large crowds 5/20/2008

I live near this bistro and used to frequent it a lot. I have since stopped going completely as the last couple experiences have been sub-par at best. Last time was the worst, the food was cold, the server was rude, and the owner (Al) clearly in quite a bad mood. It can be fun with the live music and good drinks, but it is expensive and adds up quickly. We never minded paying the above average price before, but not when combined with bad food and service. I feel bad about leaving such a bad review, but the bad taste in my mouth still has not been washed away and I feel I should warn others. Pros: Live Music and Dancing Cons: High Prices, Bad food, and rude service more

Al and staff are why you go! 6/15/2006

It is always a fun time at the ""Bistro""; good company can usually be found there. Great wine selection (could use some less expensive options as well). Stacie rocks the free world with her efficiency at the bar. You always feel at home as soon as you arrive! Huge fan and will continue to be. Good energy. Please make it a point to meet Al if he did not already introduce himself. Pros: Staff, wine selection Cons: Price more

A Neighborhood ""Cheers"" 5/20/2006

From the moment you walk into Bistro Al Vino, you feel welcomed. Al, the owner, is there to greet you and remembers all the 'regulars'. The wine list is extensive and the food a nice compliment. My girlfriends and I meet there regularly for a Girls' Night Out and are always treated wonderfully. Would highly recommend Bistro Al Vino! Pros: Great Wine List, Live Music more

Very Pricey Vino 1/16/2006

I have visited Bistro Al Vino twice. Both times the food was sub par and the wine prices were outrageous. On my second visit the proprioter was extremely intoxicated and in the midst of an argument with the bartender. Big turn off. Pros: Only game in town Cons: Lousy food more

At the Bistro, You're Part of the Family 9/6/2005

The Bistro does it right! Looking for a new experience? The Bistro has great food (Brenda's curry, ShrimpCargo, to-die-for Turkey & Brie 'wich, yummy soups - to name a few) and a wine list that won't quit - over 80 vintners by the glass - wow! I can't say enough nice things about the place-it's a happening! There's always live music - some for dancing, some for great listening while you sip and much and visit, a private room for a special event like a wine tasting, and the best staff. Alan welcomes everyone at the Bistro-and you'll only be a stranger the first time you visit. What a great end to a day! My husband and I have been going there for 2 years and it's always great! Pros: Great Wines-classy!, Great Menu Items!, Great Service! more
