I have never had a better burger in Tallahassee. The last one I had was with jerk seasoning, bacon and bleu cheese. Everything tasted beyond perfect!! The atmosphere is awesome...

Great grilled grouper sandwich! 3/12/2012

I've shared the oysters and fries with friends more than once in the past and hadn't been to Bird's in a while so I thought I'd branch out a little and try their grilled grouper sandwich. The piece of grouper I got in the sandwich was gigantic, thick and perfectly grilled. Totally sublime. I couldn't finish it, so I'd say that a person with a bigger appetite would be satisfied with the serving size. I liked their beer selection (Red Stripe was what I chose), good atmosphere, kind of quiet when we went. All in all, great experience and I've got a new favorite go-to entree. more

Winning oysters, great overall place 1/23/2012

My girlfriend and I went here over the weekend to cure our hankering for oysters. She got hers slightly steamed, which she really liked, but I've got to have mine raw. They were great...totally fresh, I watched the guy shucking them in the back. We also split a basket of fries, which was more than enough. They're battered, which is my favorite kind of fries. We sat at the bar this time, and we will definitely do that again. Good atmosphere, service was friendly and attentive. Bird's is an outstanding local place here in town. more

Holy cow, the burgers are awesome 10/11/2011

I know they've got great oysters (I've had them at tailgates and have shared them with my fiance when he gets them), but dang, those burgers are totally amazing. They have really interesting and cool toppings that I'd never considered prior to coming here (pineapple? peanut butter??) but I cannot deviate from getting cheddar and pineapple on mine. It's always way too big for me to eat, so they wrap it up into a fancy foil swan for me to take home. I swear they do this for the irony. This place is super cool. Good variety of imports (great for me, because I don't really dig domestics) and a full bar (to my knowledge, because I only drink the beer here). People who haven't been here yet are missing out. more

Awesome oysters but try the burgers 7/5/2011

Bird's rocks! I've had the oysters more than once, and they are commendable, but the burgers are unreal. I dare say they have the best burgers in town. They are huge and perfectly cooked. You can get a basket of fries for 2 bucks too! They've got good imports too. Service is good, and the place has outdoor seating, but I've always sat at the bar. If nothing else, try the burgers. And bring your appetite. more

Bird's not just amazing oysters 2/15/2011

Bird's not only has amazing oysters, but they make some of the best burgers and fries I've ever had. Bird's has a great atmosphere, hosts trivia every week, and offers a wide selection of beer, including some hard-to-find imports, and boasts a full bar. The service is friendly and the food is fresh and well-prepared. I've never been disappointed with Birds. The only issue is the parking. On a packed night, you may have to park down the street. more
