Binder Park Zoo is a great place to take the family for a day of adventure. There is so much to see it will fullfill everyone's desire. The African safari is amazing. The little ones will love to feed the giraffes and walk through a jungle of wildlife. more

Fantastic Zoo 11/13/2005

If you haven't been to Binder Park Zoo yet in Battle Creek then you need to gather up the family and head on down there. It is a fantastic zoo. It is only a day trip from Grand Rapids or you could make it a nice little 2 day trip. Feeding the giraffee's from yoru hand is something you will never forget. It is well worth the money and time to head down there. You will enjoy just as much as the children do. more

A great place for everyone! 11/7/2005

This place is amazing!I went there last month. It was a bit chilly on that day. But the surroundings succeeded in removing the chill from the air and allowed us to enjoy a great day in the midst of all those lovely animals. Some of the animals were taken off exhibit because of the weather, but the other animals more than made up for the deficit. The place was clean, and the directions were pretty easy to follow. They even had a giraffe feeding event, where you could feed biscuits to the giraffe (the biscuits had to be bought at the counter but they were a bit expensive at a dollar a piece). Then there was this Wild Africa trip where they had recreated an African nature park. It was amazing. A good way to spend your weekend! more

Closest Zoo 11/1/2005

Binder Park Zoo is the closest zoo to go to for the people of Kalamazoo. The zoo is fairly large, however, when I went there I wasn't really impressed. You have to walk long distances to see the animals, and I hardly saw any animals. They have a train ride that you can take for $2.00. To me this was the best part of the trip to Binder Park. It was really cool riding and going to the imaginary "Africa" at the end of the ride where you can purchase souveniers. more

Best zoo ever! 9/14/2005

This zoo is wonderful! The animals have large spaces to roam, while still being easy to see. There are no cages and the animals look well cared for. The zoo is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The best part of the zoo is the African Exhibit. It is a huge area where zebras, giraffes, ostriches, and other animals roam freely. There is a deck where you can stand and feed the giraffes by hand. They come right up to you. The first time this happened I was overwhelmed by their size and beauty. My 2 year old daughter is always talking about feeding the giraffes crackers. This zoo may not have the largest selection of animals (no elephants, tigers, lions, bears), but they take care of the ones they have and offer their visitors an enjoyable experience. more

If you love animals then youll love binder park zoo. You can feed and pet the goats in the goat pen. you can go visit the monkeys. A place where the giraffs come right up to you and will eat right out of your hand. more

Binder Park Zoo Definetly Worth The Trip 9/9/2005

Binder Park Zoo is fabulous! The childrens petting zoo is great, filled with goats, camels, bunnies, pigs and more. The tram ride to Africa is free and fun. Africa is UNBELIEVABLE. You stand right eye level with the giraffes and feed them. Plan on spending a full day! It is great! more

Binder Park Zoo is a wonderful little zoo. The Wild Africa section is a lot of fun-the kids can feed giraffes and see the amazing beautiful animals of Africa. The zoo has just enough to do, not too much and not too little. For young kids, you probably wouldn't even be able to tour the entire zoo in an outing (unless they have unusually long attention spans!). more

Family Fun 9/7/2005

This is a fun place to spend some quality time with your family. They have a nice (although not real big) selection of animals to view. They also have many special events such as the Zoo Boo which is during Halloween. There is a gift shop where you can purchase souveniers to remember your day by. I believe admission is $10 per person. more

Binder Park Zoo 8/6/2005

This zoo is fantastic! We go several times each year and really enjoy all the zoo has to offer. Our favorite part is being able to hand-feed the giraffes. It is so much fun! The daily ticket prices are a little high in my opinion, but the yearly membership rates are definitely worth the money since it gets you in for free for an entire year. PROS: Great animals, kid-friendly, lots of variety in animals CONS: more expensive than most other zoos within driving distance more

Best zoo...EVER. 7/27/2005

The Binder Park Zoo is so huge and has pretty much any animal your heart could ever desire to see. Don't waste your time at John Ball Park (unless of course it's a free day..) Binder Park is a thousand times better & bigger & cleaner. You will not regret visiting this place. An Australian Walkabout & African Safari right in Battle Creek? I'll take it! more

Great Zoo 7/13/2005

We took my daughter and cousins to this zoo a couple of weeks ago and it was wonderful. They have a wonderful African adventure where you can even feed the giraffes and touch their tounges. My 10 month old was a little scared, but the older girls loved it. It is definately a one of a kind experience. I will be taking her back when she is a little older and better able to appreciate the zoo. more

Binder Park Zoo has a lot to offer in terms of a large variety of different species of animals. They offer an Eighteen hole golf course that is rather challenging. more
