Pros: introductory offer and student rates, rubber floors, showers, clean and contemporary Cons: arrive 15 minutes early classes get full more

Mock Yoga...This Place is Awful 1/30/2007

This place is horrible! I had not tried the Bikram hot room before, and they had a $30 for 30 deal, so I signed up. What a mistake! I have been taking yoga for about 6 years now, from California all the way to New York, and this was by far the worst studio I have ever been to. My biggest problem was the teachers. I don't know who in the hell certified them, but they seriously don't know what they are talking about! Most importantly, this studio isn't about the true meaning and purpose of yoga. Yoga is becoming the new, hip thing and people are opening studios left and right so they can teach an aerobics class, call it yoga, and make money off middle-aged women who think they are actually learning yoga. \r The teachers couldn't care any less about your progress. There is no personal attention. Furthermore, they don't care if you are injured or have a recovering injury and don't try to accomodate the postures for you. Yoga can be very intense and I feel like they are too pushy on people that don't need to pushed any further.\r They have really stupid rules about having a towel on your mat. (One woman did not want to stand on her towel because she was slipping, and the teacher freaked out and was like ""I cannot continue this class unless you get on your towel, I don't care if you're slipping"") You don't get time to rest and meditate after class. Oh and they always let their stupid little poodle into the room in the middle of class!\r Overall, this is a mock yoga studio. No body there knows the first thing about yoga, only that it is super popular right now. They are doing a 12 week weight loss challange! Measuring waist lines and everythings. It's a disgrace to yoga. I would say if you are looking for a new way to work out and you like the aerobics class type atmosphere, check this place out. If you go, be careful about getting hurt (because no one will tell you if you are doing something bad for your knees, neck, etc.) If you really love yoga, never ever go here. Pros: $30/30days, it's a work out, you get to sweat hard Cons: teachers, lack of knowledge, very crowded, more
