Big River has Changed! 4/26/2005

Despite previous problems with bad service and a kitchen unprepared for large meal rushes, Big River has changed dramactically in the last several months. Servers are now polite and prompt, and I know from experience that the managers work very hard to ensure that customers are pleased. The beer is good (if you like microbrews), and the food is of a good quality (if you like heavy, southern-stlye cooking). Big River is also one of the only restaurants I know of that will accomodate large groups, with or without a reservation. Pros: good service Cons: long wait on weekends, no parking more

Looking for better service! 2/15/2005

I'm pretty easy to please: I like beer and diner-styled foods and being downtown is always fun for me, until I went to Big Rivers. I was very, very disappointed in the service, the food, the atmosphere, just everything. Yuck! more

Not the best in town 1/7/2005

There are better places with better food, better beer, and much better service. Don't go expecting a quick meal, or servings that will satisfy you. Kitchen is slow too. more
