I know many of you remember my nephew: Chris Freeman..This was 'HIS PLACE' I live in Houston Texas and only wish I could have had a 'Grand Mariner"" with him for the last time here @ Big Johns. I am happy to say that we will be over on Isle of Palms for 4th of July on vacation and you can bet, I will bring Chris's cousins in for the BIG ONE...........""A Big ""TEXAS THANKS"" to all of you who enriched ""Crusty's life.. you will never be forgotten as well as ""CHRIS"".... more

This place is fun! It's a hole in the wall, gotta know where it is to get there type place. It's very small, but has a great atmosphere! I lost my bra there once. Its on the ceiling directly over the bar near the door. What can I say... It's a fun place!! more

Big John's is a great place if you just want to let loose, have fun and maybe even lose your bra! Look at the ceiling to see what I mean! Pros: fun, can get crazy, chill Cons: some weird fellas more

Fun & Friendly! 10/18/2002

The best dive since 1955! They live up to their slogan and owners Jim & Chris Condon certainly do their best to make sure all are welcome and happy, It only seems kinky the first time! Attractive college crowd and a fun mix of locals and food & beverage types frequent. With a great selection of beer and awesome bar food served up by Donnie you can't go wrong any night of the week, but Friday and Saturday nights ROCK with a live DJ (Adam) and dancing - Yes they even move or dance on the pool table! Sundays are football and a lively night crowd. Check em out! Pros: Great crowd, Good Beer, Inexpensive Cons: Tough parking more
