Big Bear looks like it should be passed by from the outside - but upon closer inspection was more than I expected. The menu had plenty of food for all ages, from kids to teens to adults wanting something a little bit off the wall. The food quality is MUCH better than most casual restaurants. Price is reasonable for what you get, too - although it is more than you'd pay at similarly targetted chain restaurants.
In fact, I would have highly recommended this place, but for the fact that the smoke from the bar permeates the entire restaurant. Now that we have a baby on hand, it makes Big Bear an impossibility. Sigh ... if only St. Louis City/County would make all of its restaurants go smoke free ...
Pros: food quality, variety, price
Cons: , food prep time
