Biener is an awesome hardware store. My family and I have been going to them for 20, or more, years. It might cost you a few cents more then the big box store's but the helpful staff will find whatever you want and then show you how to install it or repair it. I've never had to wait more then a minute for help and at the big box stores I have to go chase down the teenagers who don't have a clue. Biener staff will find the correct bolt, nut, screw, stain or nail and then make sure you have everything else you need to finish your project... Lynda S more

Home Town Hardware Store 8/4/2005

If you're in North County and don't feel like running to one of the big chain stores, then Biener is a great alternative. They're reasonably priced, have very helpful people working for them and have the basic hardware items that you'll need. They can cut a pane of glass or mirror immediately, help you find just the perfect shade of paint and won't laugh at you if you don't know the technical name for a certain type of screw. Biener is the perfect place to go when you need friendly service and good prices. more
