Roger and his ream of installers were great to work with, the bookcases look outstanding, exactly as Roger and I had discussed. He made some suggestions that really added to the finished product we are extremely pleased! His installers are top notch, clean and professional and kept us informed throughout the process. My wife and I recently built a new home in the Cold Harbor area of Mechanicsville.Better Kitchens was highly recommended to us by a friend who had used them.We met with Roger and after an in depth meeting in which he showed and discussed with us all of our options for our new kitchen we did'nt need to look any further,Roger was our guy.Our experience was like a breath of fresh air from start to finish.The installers were very proffesional and neat.They always cleaned up at the end of the day and left no mess behind.The intallation of our cabinets was exactly what we expected and we would highly recommend Roger James and his company to anyone without hesitation.Thanks Roger and staff for giving my wife her dream kitchen. more

Better Kitchens has done many jobs for us. We worked on a 2 year project of a home remodel that Roger James took from start to finish. The workmanship from the entire team was outstanding! The products he recommended along with the vendors and relationships that were brought to us through Better Kitchens was far superior than any other company we interviewed or worked with. As a result of this project, we then hired them to do a kitchen for our office building and 2 additional projects that they saved us time and money. The employees were friendly and most important the job was delivered timely. I can't make any complaints with Better Kitchens. They were the only vendor we worked with that we would continue to call on, again and again for additional work. Roger James and his team of designers and installers were professional and easy to work with - and they all know that I'm not easy to please. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any home owner or even business looking for assistance. more

We did our renovation and contractor told us about BKB for our cabinet. Jan Davis design our cabinet and I think she don't know what is she doing. She did order our cabinet with lot of item missing it is 3 weeks now and still not taken care of. After three weeks we got some of our item and that is also not everything that was missing. We called Kraft Maid and I was shocked to learn that what she ordered and what I order is not same and about missing item or broken item that she had knowledge about at time of installation she did not order for next three weeks and we are still waiting for it. I called the owner he called back and said he don't know what happen and no knowledge about my order and just said sorry. When I found out from Kraft maid about my order she did not place what we order. According to Kraft maid my cabinet should be factory maid not patch work. About missing item and what Kraft Maid said about my order I called the owner again and he never pick up phone or reply. I am still waiting for an answer from him. Only thing they are good about is take your money at time of delivery and not providing you service. PLEASE think before you hire Better Kitchen and Bath. I will give them ?-100 or F?. We have spent lot of money and we are thinking to take legal action not for money but we need what we order and not patch work. My husband and I are very pleased with our new countertops. We initially met Roger James who showed us around the showroom and gave us some excellent recommendations and we worked with Jan Davis on our order. Jan was very meticulous with her measurements and gave some wonderful suggestions for our kitchen. The order was placed promptly and the countertops were installed before our deadline. Roger and his team were incredibly professional and willing to work with us to the very last detail during the design and construction of our new wine cellar and laundry room. My husband and I absolutely love the finished rooms. The cabinetry is flawless, the design exceeded our expectations and the entire project was managed very professionally. The kitchen is the highlight of our home! It's the most well thought out, best designed and fabulously appointed kitchen WITHOUT the huge price tag! We love it and highly recommend Better Kitchens for any job, large or small. We especially loved our designer, Jen, and installer, Ted. They looked out for our best interests the entire time by pointing out improvements or potential problems as well as watching our bottom line $$$. We are very comfortable recommending Better Kitchens to our friends and are confident in their ability to provide good products, good design, and excellent craftsmanship!! more

Jennifer at Better Kitchens is great to work with. She is a great designer with lots of talent! She held our hand from start to finish and made sure everyone showed up when they said they would and even though we had to order an extra piece to finish the job, she was on top of that until everything was complete. We have gotten so many compliments on the new layout. I would recommend to anyone who needs help with an old kitchen that needs updating! Thanks again! I'll be back for my bathroom next year! When I arrived at Better Kitchens, (which by the way is now off of Hull Street Rd On Pocoshock behind Apple Doors) I was impressed with their beautiful showroom. Pros: Affordable; professional; turn key jobs! Cons: Call first... The address in the phone book was old. Might need appointment too! more
