Drivetime not good option 12/13/2010

I signed for a vehicle from Drivetime in Morrow. I actually believed the printed propaganda saying that the vehicles have been inspected (DON'T). I am a realist, I know that used cars are not new. For the $15,000 price tag and the warranty and the inspection guarantee put me at ease. I expect to have issues wqith a used car after a couple of years, BUT NOT 7 days. Within the first 60 days I had to purchase a new battery, the check engine light was on (within 7 days), I needed a new set of tires (found out when I had the leaky tire plugged), new catalytic converter, new driveshaft axle, new brakes, turn rotors, needed an oil change within first 30 days, and the car is still smoking under the hood. Each time I have to take it the shop (the warranty sends me to) I have to pay $50, so they can tell me that the warranty doesn't cover it. No one can do anything at the store where i got it (like cover the $50 co pays) or the corp level, no one can do anything about this car except take my payments. This is the mose expensive lemon ever sold. I would not recommend Drtivetime to anyone, especially those with the credit issues that they prey upon. Unless you are a mechanic and can fix your own car more

You can speak with a representative in the morning and someone will contact you again in the evening...as if you never spoke to anyone. The representatives are rude and act like you owe them personally. The interest rates are crazy and almost every dime you pay goes to them for interest and pennies go toward the princial payoff of the loan. DON'T DO IT...EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE A BAD CREDIT RATING...FIND SOMEONE ELSE OR YOU WILL BE SORRY! You can find other negative info on this company via the web. Look before you LEAP!!! Customer is right 11/3/2009

On 7/20/09, my daughter, 7year old grandson went to Atlanta for a doctor appt next day. Neither of us smoke. We always stay at a Marriott, but, on this night it was late. I thought the Hyatt Place would be closer to the m.d. I went in to register, was told that they had one room. I requested a NON-SMOKING room..and was told that all rooms were. When we opened the door to the room, we smelled smoke. Normally, I would have taken the key back, and refused the room. My grandson is mentally/physically handicapped, and was tired and needed to be fed. We stayed in the room. Next a.m. checked out... When I received the credit card bill, there was an extra $200.00 added to my bill, When I called abt it, was told it was a smoking charge because I smoked in the room. Excuse me, neither I nor my daughter smoked there or anywhere. I even called the corporate headquarters. They have refused to remove the $200.00 charge. How can I prove that I did NOT smoke there or anywhere? I will never stay in another Hyatt Place. I would rather go to court than give them my money for which I work hard to earn. How many other people have they falsely accused of smoking in that crummy room? Pros: Convenient Cons: Poor customer service more

This is not about the product but about ordering the product online as a FREE trial for 14 days and but later billed for two orders not requested and just now receiving today. There was no billing information sent with the product or posted at the site where the order was place so that you could inquire or cancel. I was able to aquire information form this website pertaining to the product and a email address from another complaint filed on this website. Nevertheless, when trying to cancel again they claim not to have the credit card infromation from which I placed the order which would allow me the opportunity to cancel. I end up calling my bank and disputing the charges because there is no other way to communicate with them. Please do not order this product or any other free trial product online. No Deal Drive Time Marietta 10/19/2008

I started working with Drive Time in mid September for a car loan. A couple of days prior to September 20th I was told I was approved. I went down to Marietta Drive Time and picked out a car that the sales person told me was within the limit of the loan that I was approved. They took and had me fill out all the paperwork for the car along with the proof of insurance and took the $900 down payment and sent me home with the car. The first payment was due October 11th and I made the payment on October 3rd. The check cleared the bank October 8th. On October 14th I was called by the manager at Marietta Drive Time and told that the car was to be in the parking lot as soon as possible. I tried to understand what was going on since all the paperwork was in order and the payment was made on time, but they would say nothing but the loan was not approved. This was over three weeks since the purchase and I was confused. This morning once again I was told to have the car at their dealership and a police officer was sent to escort me to the dealership. I felt like a common criminal. They would not discuss any form of refund and so I have had to consult with a lawyer. How many other people has Drive Time done this too? Is this the way people should be treated since most are like me with limited resources? Is this something they do to people who receive disability? If you feel there could be others in this same situation or could become in this situation please help put a stop to it. With the current economic crisis many others will need vehicles before there credit is restored and they too are possible targets for this kind of action.\r more

Bomber Battery Small Engine Repair ""If a plug don't fix it oh well you'll still get the bill"" 4/28/2008

I talked to Larry Ceminsky, at Bomber Battery in Marietta, Ga. about repairing my Lawn Mower and Snow Blower . Larry said ""Oh yes, we specialize in small engines and can do you a great job. We've never worked on a Snower Blower before but, why not. "" Larry was very friendly and told me about his buisness and how he move here 10 years ago and would enjoy doing buisness with me. I expalined the condition with both machines and stated that the Lawn Mower would deffinately need a carbarator kit, and maby the Snow Blower as well. I also made it understood that I would be out of town for about a month and would need it when I returned on April the 25th. Upon returning I called at 3:00 pm the 25th and was told that both were ready for pick up. $60.00 + for the Mower and $40.00 + for the Snow Blower. Larry.s Mech. had the carb. off the Mower when I arrived and said that it needed parts. He than tried to pull start the Snow Blower. I said wait, wait, wait. I plugged in the cord and pushed the starter (elect. start ) and I had to run it on full choak and at full throttle just as before. I asked what was going and was told that they probably needed some work done to them???? I think that's why I took them in in the first place. After confronting Larry, he assured me that a mechanic specialist would be in Monday, and that I should check back Monday or Tuesday, which I did. Larry came in from the back and said in a very agressive manor, ""Why don't you just go ahead and load up your mower and snow blower if you want and take them some where else."" I said, you told me to check back either Monday or Tuesday, as I had previously had told him that I was leaving town again Thursday. Larry said ""Well I guess I don't have a very good memory because I don't remember saying that. I'll call you when there done and before Thursday. \r Nice way to do buisness Larry. What happened to good old quality?\r Way to go Larry !!! Not Just Brakes 4/26/2008

Don't expect a $99 brake job ""as advertise"" from Just Brakes on North Henry Blvd in Stockbridge, GA. Prior to buying a used car, I had it inspected and was told that I would need new brakes. I took my car to Just Brakes expecting a $99 brake job, but was told I needed new calipers on all four wheels. I was told that the $99 only covered Pads and Rotors and the cost to fix my vehicle was over $500. After looking at the calipers, the only one that looked worned was the Left Rear only because the rubber piece had a small cut on. So, I decline the front and told them to fix the left rear. I was told that if I get one side done, I had to get the other side done too. Total cost now $329. After receiving my bill, I was charged $42.50 for Disc Hardware on the Front since I didn't have the calipers repaired and the cost was for ""adjusting the calipers"". Less than 90 days later, a noise was coming from the Front Right Tire. ""Sounds like you need brakes"", ""Are you ready to get them fixed""? So, I told him to just check out my Front Right Tire. After pulling off all four tires, the same guy who told me that I needed new calipers the first time, took me directly back to the Rear Left Tire (as before), pointed to the same small cut in the rubber and said, "" You need new calipers."" I said, ""New calipers""? But the noise was coming from my front wheel. And he said, ""Your front calipers are bad too."" So I asked him, if the calipers would go bad within 90 days after having brake work done? And he said, ""No"". Looks like you had your rotors turned and new pads, but now you need your calipers fix. After showing him my invoice from his shop less than 90 days ago, I told him to put my wheels back on and drove away. Bottom line, avoid Just Brakes on North Herny Blvd in Stockbridge! more

On Jan 31,08 I have moved to Dallas, Ga from Duluth. and had to locate a new mechanic for my car. I needed new brakes and tire alignment. The service advisor told me the rotors needed to be replaced I wonder if the rotors could have been turned.?? I needed a belt. replaced, he said it as cracked---I reluctantly agreed. Then I was told that my radiator was BONE DRY and needed to be flushed. Then I said NO. I did not want to flush the radiator, that might cause more problems. Then he said the brake system needed to be flushed and the fluid replaced. I'm not sure that I had a choice. They charged me $506.08 .They did not show me the worn cracked belt. and let me drive home, The next morning my LOW COOLANT light came on and I was afraid to drive the car. I am not a dumb female, I did have regular oil changes and service with a Trusted mechanic that serviced my car for 10 years when I lived in Duluth . I finally located a ""recommended"" mechanic to fix the low coolant problem, it just needed fluid!!. That mechanic said leave the radiator alone.Firestone charged $155.59 for a belt I did not need, $59.99 to flush the brake system I do'nt think I needed, and $105.98 for new rotors, that could have been turned. That is about $321.56!! I believe that this falls under the category of RIP OFF. They held my car captive to work on the brakes and I had no way of knowing or proving that the above items were needed.\r I shall not go back to Firestone. I shall tell people about my experience. I am not happy. I shall send a copy of this complaint to Firestone Corporate and the local dealer.\r Carolyn Steenson NOT RECOMMENDED more
