This business owner sounds very friendly and accomodating at first. After business discussions and a pre visit with the sitter who took my key and left a contract to be signed the first day , the owner also required sitting prepayment. This made my stomach twitch but she seemed sincere. She assured coverage of my pet sitting needs for an upcoming trip and 2x weekly home visits, and sent a sitter to my home for a pre visit. PROBLEMS: After sending the key with the sitter, the owner emailed, telling me the sitter was going on vacation and was not available fo my trip plans I was originally assured coverage for. She only wrote 'thanks for asking'. Never mind I had a flight booked and looked no further since she assured me. I also found that the owner did not allow discussion between me and the sitter regarding scheduling and sitter info. I also found out the sitter lived 20-30 minutes away down 95, which we agreed would not happen since my previous sitter had travel issues. I decided quickly not to do business and sent a check to get my key back (required) including a charge for the sitter intro visit. I included $50 extra to keep peace and closure. To date she still has my key more than a month later after she became very terse, sarcastic and harsh in emails. My next move is to call the local authorities to get my key back! PLEASE BEWARE!!!!
