Very bad experience...Brides beware! I reserved a block of rooms for wedding guests and was told there was a 2 night minimum. I agreed because I was led to believe this was a hotel-wide policy....Not so! Apparently, all other guests not under the ""group rate"" (which is $2 less per night than the AAA rate) could book one night. My guests called in and mentioned my wedding party; they asked if there was any way that they could have a one-night stay instead of 2. Instead of mentioning that if they didn't book through the group, they could book one night at a similar rate, they were told ""No, we can't do that."" Needless to say, later another friend did a test, they called to see what rate and minimum they would get if they didn't mention my wedding party. They were quoted a rate $2 more per night than my ""special group rate"" and were allowed to book for one night. When I called to complain, they didn't offer me an upgrade or provide any real means of making the situation right. When you're planning a wedding you consistently have to second guess prices and shop for vendors, I thought the hotel would be the easiest part, it's turned into a very difficult part. more

Clean rooms, beautiful grounds, nice pool and spa, great breakfast and friendly staff. Wonderful alternative to the raunchy hotels near the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Just a short drive to Capitola and Santa Cruz and worth being out a ways. Across the street from a Safeway grocery store and gas station and near parks and beaches. Great for families on vacation. more

We have stayed at this hotel several times and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. Clean, quiet hotel with great room rates if you are attending a wedding in the area. We also like they fact we've never had to commit to two nights. more

We stayed here for one night while attending a friend's wedding in the area. The rooms and grounds were very nice. The restaurant was nice and had a decent free breakfast buffet. The only thing that was not good, was the noise. The walls must be made of paper, because we heard conversations through both walls and the ceiling like they were in the same room as us! Worst night of sleep ever! The front desk mentioned that they are working on fixing the issue, but until that happens, bring ear plugs! more

excellent service here at the sea cliff inn. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent here with my family. I love coming to Santa Cruz so I guess I am biased in that regard. would come again. more

Great best Western Location! I have stayed here many times and have never been let down. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is always nice and I recommend it! more
