i was more then i expected , it had everything and extra. it was easy to find and was very quite to stay in...i would tell others about this hotel and would probably go back to it.

Pleasant stay 1/13/2011

I loved this hotel. I found it to be clean. The staff was friendly. My questions were answered, any help I need was obtained. I would stay there again. the view from my room was also good. more

GREAT STAY 12/27/2010

Was Skeptical after Reading other Reviews but have Stayed at other Best Western Hotels and never had an Issue so why not! Was Pleasantly Surprised; Service was Good, Room was Clean, Bed was Comfortable and I Saved a lot of Money. Could have Spent more just North a little by Midway. Also, the Restaurant adjacent to the Hotel, Mattson's Steak House, was just as Good as any where and the Wait Staff were all Pleasant. Overall a Great Experience. more

really liked the location 10/20/2010

I really liked the location and how convenient it was to get there and back from midway. The room I stayed in was very clean compared to some hotels I have experienced in the passed. The service was okay, but can always be better. Over all I know i will be back because Best Westerns are the only hotels I go to. more

would definitely recommend this hotel for family stay 10/18/2010

Our youth hockey team booked rooms here this Jan while participating in a 2 day tournament in Dubuque. There were over 20 of us families, all with young children. The hotel atrium/pool area was absolutely fabulous. It was perfect for a group with lots of kids. They were able to swim, play pool, ping pong, arcade games, etc, all while the adults sat around the pool socializing and eating. The hotel allows food and beverages in the atrium area, providing a place where we could all be together and wind down after our games. The restaraunt conveniently had phones pool side that you could easily call and order food, pizza or drinks and they DELIVERED POOL SIDE! That was so convenient. The pool side rooms were beautiful, clean and very large. The front desk staff was amazingly friendly and accomodating to all of our needs and tolerated our rambunctious kids very well. The hotel was completely full that weekend due to some large events in Dubuque and the hotel staff all seemed like they were used to that. It didn't frazzle them at all, despite the mad chaos surrounding them. The breakfast was a good buy. $4 for kids and $7 for adults and the food was yummy..buffet style. We all booked rooms there again for another upcoming tournament and will continue to use this as our hotel of choice for future travel to Dubuque. I would definitely recommend this hotel for family stay. more

Staff was very friendly and efficient 10/15/2010

Very nice room! Microwave and fridge. Nicely decorated, 2 comfy chairs and desk with chair. Breakfast only Monday through Friday. There's a restaurant, and the prices didn't seem too bad, but we didn't use it. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I thought it was a new motel but was told it was built in 1979 and totally redone. There's a 30 pound weight limit for dogs, but we'd seen larger dogs there. Also, a nice potty area for your doggie. Would definitely stay there again!! more

We spent one night and were pleased with everything! The front desk employees were courteous and helpful. The room was immaculate and the bed was super comfy! In addition, the special package had a gift card for dinner at Champps which was awesome, the breakfast buffet was large in comparison to other hotel breakfasts, and the complimentary casino hotel was especially nice since we had been towing a trailer and would not have made a casino run had it not been for the shuttle! We know for certain we will return to the Best Western on our return trip! more

The hotel staff welcomed me with much Hospitality. It was as if I never left home. For the short stay for a stranger in a new city I felt welcomed. I was there for a business trip to conduct an interview. My luggage never arrived due to a mistake at the airport. However, the hotel made me forget any thing negatively due to the positive energy that showed me. I would just like to say thanks for having me at your hotel. Last, the hotel made a great impression for someone who was thinking of relocating for a job. more

My stay at the Best western hotel was very nice the staff was helpful its a 1/2 mile from downtown river front casino & museum the hotel is very nice quiet lots of parking the its off the main street and there are other hotel and restaurant nearby mall. Champs restaurant is a great to meet friends and for breakfast for hotel guest the pool area is just beautiful hope to see you on my next trip !!!!!!! more

Very welcoming staff 10/6/2010

This hotel was surprisingly nice. It had been recently renovated. The room furnishings were in like new condition. The staff was very welcoming. A restaurant on the premises made it convenient for breakfast. The location of the hotel was near the River area were we spent time. The price was right for all you got. I would highly recommend this hotel. more

would recommend this hotel for a nights stay 8/30/2010

We spent a night here as we had a 6am flight of Midway. Staff at check in was friendly. A quiet, spacious room, clean bathroom. Very welcoming. Free internet access in the room. We had a rental car and drove 3 miles to Pizza Hut for a quick early dinner. The hotel seemed nice.. the indoor pool was in use and it seemed like fun. We did not expect to have such a pleasant experience/ night. Overall, we would recommend this hotel for a nights stay. A good deal for the price compared to something like yucky extended stay america on 71st street. more

Awesome hotel. I don't know what these people are talking about. There is a steakhouse right next door with amazing food. There is a deli/convenience store/liquor store all in one on the other side, and strip malls ad nauseum through the whole town. The continental breakfast is ok, but I've had alot worse. I never once felt threatened leaving my hotel, though like with many places near large cities, I wouldn't recommend strolling the alleys at 2am. I stayed here for 11 days straight on business, and I have absolutely no gripes. more
