Our youth hockey team booked rooms here this Jan while participating in a 2 day tournament in Dubuque. There were over 20 of us families, all with young children. The hotel atrium/pool area was absolutely fabulous. It was perfect for a group with lots of kids. They were able to swim, play pool, ping pong, arcade games, etc, all while the adults sat around the pool socializing and eating. The hotel allows food and beverages in the atrium area, providing a place where we could all be together and wind down after our games. The restaraunt conveniently had phones pool side that you could easily call and order food, pizza or drinks and they DELIVERED POOL SIDE! That was so convenient. The pool side rooms were beautiful, clean and very large. The front desk staff was amazingly friendly and accomodating to all of our needs and tolerated our rambunctious kids very well. The hotel was completely full that weekend due to some large events in Dubuque and the hotel staff all seemed like they were used to that. It didn't frazzle them at all, despite the mad chaos surrounding them. The breakfast was a good buy. $4 for kids and $7 for adults and the food was yummy..buffet style. We all booked rooms there again for another upcoming tournament and will continue to use this as our hotel of choice for future travel to Dubuque. I would definitely recommend this hotel for family stay.
