If you are in Huntington Beach be WARNED - AAA Towing and Gustafason Brothers Mechanic have a scam. They will force you to Gustafason Brothers even when you tell them to take you to your local mechanic. You will pay more than $800 to fix your car but the repairs will be faulty, costing you another AAA tow.\r \r Then even though you used AAA towing and they took you to a AAA mechanic who ripped you off, AAA will not help you. Pay to be towed to your own mechanic and do not use Best Towing or AAA. more

I called AAA to have my car towed to put on 2 flat tires. They did a great job! They had to tow it to the tire place & pick it up the next day. Since my car wouldn't start on the ride back the Driver Michael worked really hard to get my car on & off & parked. My car was a Pain to get it in to my parking spot and the tow truck driver was knowledgeable & patient. I have used AAA for 10 yrs & Best Towing has always came out & done a great job. My car was towed without my authorization, I did not sign any release, nor did I even know where it was towed until told several days later. The tow truck drive told a friend of mine that I had seven days. I have come to find out that they put a lien on the car after 4 days, and is now telling me that I have to pay over $700 dollars to get my car back. They also did not ask me if I had AAA (which I did) and are charging me for the towing. Finally, this company is charging me for a clean up fee, which is supposed to be the tow truck driver cleaning up debris and glass, yet no glass was cleaned up, i have photos of the crash site two hours later, with glass all over the street. The towing company told me that if they charge me a continuous storage fee, they will sell my car in June, and take whatever they make off my ""bill"" and then charge me for the rest. I called the owner of the company, John Vaughn, and after debate, he told me that he would make the problem go away if I paid the company 200 and signed over the lien. Cons: See Below more

I had a major flat tire on my way to pick up my kids from school. After pulling into an elementary school parking lot, I called AAA. They told me a tow truck would respond within 30 minutes. About 5 minutes later, BEST Towing arrived and changed my tire immediately. The guy was so nice! I was able to get my kids on time and be on my way. I really appreciate the way my awful situation was handled and I would recommend Best Towing to anyone. Pros: Speedy,reliable more

They would rather the customers that they have sold vehicles have them repossessed by the previous lien holder, than give the previous lien holder proof vehicle was lien sold. This would mean that you buy a car from them and then I repo it because they did not properly notify the previous title holder that the vehicle was sold. more
