best color 2/21/2011

Georgia is the best hairdresser ever! I walked into the salon looking for help after my last bad experience with hair color. She did an awesome job! I absolutely love my hair but I wish the salon decor was more updated. Overall, it was a great experience. I did not feel rushed or insignificant by having the shampoo girl apply the color...like some other salons. I strongly recommend Georgia and the Best Salon! more

I found my new salon and colorist! 2/21/2011

I recently visited the Best Salon looking for a new colorist. The salon is clean, the environment is pleasant, and everyone is friendly. Georgia did my single process color and hilites and it is definitely the best color I have ever had! My haircut is excellent. Georgia is very professional and knew just how to update my look...and my husband loves it! more

No returning for me 8/9/2010

I have had two BAD experiences at "the Best Salon & Spa." I one time called for an appointment to get my nails done, was told what time to come in, when I got there I was told that there was no one there to do them. Since he didn't take my name and number, he couldn't call me back. I recently called to make an appointment, again for my nails, and was told what time to come in. I went in, sat down, she started soaking off my nails and she then asked me if I was getting a pedicure also. I said no... once AGAIN they screwed up and I had to leave the salon without getting my nails done. The receptionist sat and argued with me about my appointment that SHE made. There was NO attempt what so ever to try to help me. Will NEVER go back.. like the saying goes.. fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me! more

new client at The Best 6/23/2010

I recently spent a wonderful day at the Best Salon and Spa in Buffalo Grove.I was greeted warmly by a very friendly and competent reception staff and never forgotten about the rest of the day. Firstly I had a massage which was unbelievable, as good as anywhere I have ever traveled to. Next i had a manicure and pedicure. I found the area to be very clean and sanitary and the services excellent from the hot towels to the foot or hand massage. I was then shown to the back area where the hairdresser took the time to discuss what we were doing. My hair looked great and I walked out feeling pampered and hcompletely hapoy with my experience. I was even given a card for new clients with little incentives for followup visits. I would highly reccomend The Best to all. more

i have been a client of the best salon and spa for over 15 years and would never consider a change of scenery. employees at the best care not just about what excellent service you pay for, but about you as an individual. i have read the other reviews and all but one stand to tell the truth about this excellent business. i felt it was my duty to defend the place that has been part of my life for so long, and now is part of the lives of my children as well. as far as the rediculous and offensive review by "Dave C.," i would venture to say parents need to monitor their children more closely when using the internet. i would reccomend the best salon and spa to anyone who ever aspired to be pampered in a friendly, talented, and professional environment. but don't take my word for it- make an appointment and decide for yourself! -Helen more

THE NAME, 3/30/2006

I HAVE BEEN A CLIENT AT THE BEST SALON AND SPA FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. I HAVE UTILIZED ALL AREAS OF THE SALON AND THE SPA. I HAVE HAD MANY TECHNICIANS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE. THEY ARE PLEASANT AND FRIENDLY FROM THE MOMENT YOU WALK IN TO THE MOMENT YOU LEAVE. THEY ARE THOROUGHLY PROFFESSIONAL IN ALL ASPECTS. IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE DAVE C. IS THE ONE WITH THE DRUG PROBLEM!\r I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN ANYONE IN THAT SALON BEHAVE INAPPROPRIATELY IN ANY WAY. FOR A GREAT SALON/SPA EXPERIENCE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "THE BEST"! \r D.A. more

I think Dave C.'s the one on drugs 3/30/2006

I don't know where Dave C.'s review came from ,maybe a grudge against an employee, but I have been a client for 15 years and the staff is completely proffessional .The receptionists make the experiences great with their courteous and helpful attitudes. Both my hair , spa and nail experiences have been marvelous. the girls are always willing to go the exta mile to make the experience pleasant. i suggest everyone try this great salon. If you do have a problem the owner is always willing to help. more

Great Massages and Facials! 11/29/2005

My mother-in-law treated me to a Mother-to-be package at this spa when I was pregnant. I was a little nervous because I had never been to a spa before and did not know what to expect. I really enjoyed the facial and massage portion of the package. Both were very relaxing. Both of these technicians were very friendly and accomodating. I also had a pedicure and manicure as part of the package. I enjoyed the pedicure. However, I did not feel that the manicure was worth the money. I did not feel the manicurist was very attentive. I think that she was working on too many people at once. Also, she did not do anything different than I do for myself at home--in fact, I think I do more! All in all, it was a good experience. I definitely recommend The Best for massages and facials but not for a manicure. more
