If you love your dog, don't let him stay here 5/9/2012

Awful, I would give 0 stars if I could. When I checked in, I specfically told them my dog couldn't be put on a neck collar and leash as he has a very sensitive neck and possible collapsing trachea (small dog). I left my harness there for him and they told me it wouldn't be a problem. Pros: null Cons: null more

Our dog loves Pet Motel 12/21/2009

We have been taking our dog, a border collie, to Pet Motel for her whole life -- she is now 15. She loves going there, they recognize her when she comes in. She has never come home sick or hurt, the groomers are great. The one other time we took her to another place (because Pet Motel was full) she cam home sick. They give her medicine on time, feed her, take her for walks and runs and treats. We would never take our animal to another kennel. Pros: Loving, caring place more

Best Friends Pet Care is the best 10/13/2009

I have been a customer of the Best Friends Pet Care of Lincolnshire for many years. My experience with the kennel, grooming department, retail store and training program has been excellent. For the last 20 years Tracy or Carol has expertly groomed my dogs. I've been boarding at the pet motel since it was owned by the Leeds. The care has been excellent. In fact, when one of my dogs was very sick Kim (who is the best and the reason I board there) took Dudley into her home (which was in the facility) and with my vets care she nursed him and daily spoke to me on his recovery. The best point is that somebody lives on the premises and is there 24/7. Evelyn in the store is always so helpful. This last Jan./Febr. I boarded my year old Portie for close to 4 weeks. Alan Ross trained him 5 (sometimes Sat. too) days a week. What a fine job he did. Moses was boarded in the Regency suites so he had daily training from Alan, daily walks and also was enrolled in the play time (day care). I think he ha more

Not a Motel 7/6/2006

This place came very highly recommended by several friends, I'm not sure what I expected but when I got there, it wasn't what I had envisioned. The place is very clean, well taken care of, but its like a giant indoor kennel with doggie doors for the animals to run in and out of when they need to go to the bathroom. My dog didn't know how to use the doggie door, water runs from a faucet type thing which she didn't have any clue how to use. They took good care of her but when we got her home she was so hoarse from barking at and with the other dogs that she didn't get her 'regular voice' back for almost 2 weeks. more

Pet Motels 6/27/2006

The first time I left Daisy in this pet motel I was upset the whole time we were gone, was she eating, was she okay, etc. They took fabulous care of her, she even got a progress report. She didn't eat to well the whole time we were gone but they made extreme efforts to get her to eat and she was very well taken care of, I would not hesitate to take her back again. more

The Ritz-Carlton for Pets 7/12/2005

I drive a long way to board my dog at American Pet Motel. They have excellent kennels, are very open with the premises, and guarantee that your pet will be returned in great condition. You can also order extra treats, like doggie ice cream, for your pet during its stay! It is definitely more expensive, but the peace of mind is worth it. more
