Hidden Charges! 7/31/2011

I am writing to express my EXTREME disappointment with my recent visit to this location. My dog has stayed with Best Friends before, and I have always had a great experience. That being said, I was unaware of the (new?) charges for "Arrival and Departure Day Play", even though I booked the "Play and Stay Group". What exactly does that additional charge cover? The staff was unable to provide an answer. Since I was NOT informed of this service prior to pick up, you can imagine my surprise to see the bill. For my dog to "play and stay" for EXACTLY 24 hours, it cost me $97. This, frankly, is downright ridiculous. If I was to travel just an additional 5 miles, my dog could participate in group play and boarding at an equally reputable establishment for only $40. Which is exactly what I intend to do in the future. I saw ABSOLUTELY no additional benefit to pay over DOUBLE the price of other boarding facilities. I hope for the sake of your other customers, these charges be clearly explained prior to pick up, so that they are not as aggravated and insulted as I am. more

Best Friends Pet Care Inc is truly a caring "Second Home" for all pets! 11/6/2009

Where do I begin? Best Friends has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in relation with My Best Friend...Frosty! Frosty is my 3 year old Poodle who has been coming to Best Friends regularly since she was about 6 months old. She is known as a "regular" in Doggie Day Camp and has an awesome time when she's there...trust me, she lets me know when we get home! Seriously though, I can't comment enough on the caliber of the staff at Best Friends in Willow Grove, PA. They are without a doubt seriously committed to the health, happiness and well-being of every little animal...great or small. I struggled with leaving Frosty home alone day after day and then I found Best Friends and a whole new world opened for each of us. My days are happier knowing she is happy...and that's a guarantee when Frosty is camping. Frosty has quite often had overnight stays and I know she is always very happy with her Suite. Best Friends Pet Care Inc is the absolute BEST 10/30/2009

My 4-year-old yellow labrador retriever, Santo has been attending doggie daycamp at Best Friends for 3 years. He absolutely LOVES it!! The staff there is very loving, knowledgeable and professional. Santo boards and grooms there as well. Labs are very high-energy dogs and when he comes home he's so tired from playing all day with his friends that he just wants to sit and snuggle. Santo and the other dogs usually play hard in the morning and after lunch when they go back into the room they all nap and he snuggles with the counselor. He loves the birthday parties and we love the great pictures they send home for St. Patricks Day, the Valentine's Day gifts, the Easter Bunny pictures, the Halloween party, but most especially the Prom!! We really appreciate the live feed from the doggie daycamp room so we know what Santo is doing all day long. Best Friends is Best in our book! 10/30/2009

Best friends of Willow Grove is a wonderful facility where your dog or cat will receive loving attention in very nice surroundings. You can tell the staff truly loves the pets in their care. My pekingese Lilly and I have been made to feel like part of the family and she is always so excited to attend day camp. And when boarding overnight, I know she feels comfortable and at home.
