I find the staff and doctors to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I have a pet rabbit and mouse and have not found any other doctors as skilled and experienced with either of these animals as they are. I have nothing but good things to say about the doctors and will continue to bring all of my pets to this hospital for care. more

I would never go anywhere else 11/17/2008

I have been bringing my standard poodle to Best Friends for 5 years. On every single visit, from annual exams, to mysterious and serious problems, to the little things that come up with a dog (scratched cornea, bleeding gums, etc.) the office and professional staff have been the very best. They always manage to squeeze in an appointment if really needed. I often recommend them to my friends with pets. more

I used to work for them, amazing 2/13/2008

I cannot say enough about the doctors that work at this clinic. Generous, compassionate, giving, not only are they amazing to work for, you can be assured that they are making sure your animal is getting only the most superior care. They TRULY care. Dr. Rauch and Dr. Scarbeck are brains. If you are looking for veterinary gems, you will find them here. \r \r * I can not speak for the staff. However when I worked there the staff was also great and we worked well as a team. I do not know if that has changed. The only downfall I would say is that the practice is a little small and could use some updates: but again, this is a small downfall in comparison to the abilities you will receive from your DVMs. more

Loving Care 12/18/2007

Yesterday I had to put my cat to sleep. Every staff member I was in contact with handled this difficult decision for me with compassion. I know after I left, the same care was given to my cat. Thank you\r Kim M. more

Wonderful Staff, Knowledgable and Caring Doctors, One Horrible Receptionist 10/29/2007

I have been to going to this vet for about two years. The care your animal will receive is top notch. The staff members and technicians genuinely care about your animal. Dr Rauch (who handles our dog) is a joy to work with and she is truly a credit to her profession.\r \r The only thing that prevents a perfect score is s single rude receptionist. I believe there are only two, so it's a 50/50 chance you'll get her. One is as wonderful as the rest of them. The other one is appallingly rude, will cut you off and snap at you. Both my wife and I can attest to this on separate occassions. It is sad that the few people who call and get this person will get the wrong impression. more

Absolutely the BEST 7/28/2007

I have been extremely pleased with the quality care and compassion afforded my dogs (3) and cats (2) these past five years or so. \r I have had dealings with all of the wonderful vets, Scarbeck, Rauch, and Roge, and their great staff, in matters ranging from annual checkups, dental work, neutering, diagnostic tests, and long term health care and pain management ( hip displasia of one dog). To me, this staff is unmatched in their level of thoroughness, in both treatment and follow through, providing detailed responses to questions and explanations of procedures, testing results and the like. The love and compassion everyone at this facility has for animals is clear. They definitely put the best interests of pets first.\r My dogs and cats never mind (and actually enjoy) their visits.\r I have used probably 7-8 vets in the greater Chicago area these past 25+ years and would say Best Friends is right at the top. more

I love Best Friends Animal Hospital 5/25/2007

I have been going to Best Friends for over 8 years. The staff is the best. Dr. Roge and Dr. Roush not only are Veterinarians, but they really love animals. I had a rabbit for 13 years and Dr. Roge was just the best with him, she was so caring and helpful through the tough times. As I am writing this review I have my baby Taffy there, she is in the best hands that I could possibly hope for. I would recommend and I do recommend them to everyone I know. more

Great Vets 9/1/2005

I took my dog here and the staff was very considerate and professional. The costs are reasonable and the DVM took great care of my dog. I didn't have to wait long to see the vet. They accept credit cards and cash. I feel that they gave us good care. more
