Best Buy....Evil Empire? 12/1/2010

Best Buy has replaced Fry's as the worlds worst retailer. Being questioned and doubted by blissfully ignorant staff regarding an items failure to function properly. Being charged a 15% restocking fee for the pleasure of enduring such idiocy.\r \r I once accompanied a friend on a similar return. When he calmly asked why the obviously brain dead girl at the return desk was questioning him regarding the items failure to function properly she said, "I don't have to stand for that tone from you". My friend chuckled and replied, "excuse me?" She simply replied that she was going to get her manager. We both thought perfect, one less idiot to deal with. After waiting ten minutes, and the line growing to 4 times its size at our arrival, the 'manager' finally showed up. The acne on his face betrayed his age and the apparent lack of qualifications to assume the position of 'manager' at Best Buy. However, still thinking our problems behind us we were stunned when his first words were "I'm more

Worst buy 1/7/2007

Dreadful customer service. They will tell you any old lie about the product to get you to buy it. The prices aren't even all that good. Legal considerations prevent me from expressing just how much I dislike this business. They make Frys look good, and if you are familiar with their business practices you will know just how bad an insult that is. more

Not the best buy, not the best service... 1/5/2007

They are quickly becoming the Fry's Electronics of mainstream retail with the key difference being this: Fry's have rude inept staff but low prices and good selection. Best Buy have friendly inept staff, poor selection and crap prices that Amazon and even Target routinely beat. If you know exactly what you want and are prepared to pay about 10% more to have it in your hot little mitts right this instant, then proceed with caution, save your receipt and monitor the price in other stores for the next 30 days. If the price drops, then immediately bring the receipt in and they will have to give you the difference.\r \r The two worst Best Buy moments for me were as follows:\r \r 1) I wanted to buy an MP3 player for my boyfriend and wanted to go "open box" (merchandise bought and returned but functional) to shave something off the price. The open box item I bought mysteriously had no power cables. I was assured by the salesperson (idiot in a blue uniform) that I could pick up an adapter at Radio more
