Best Buy Laurel Sales and Customer service are Terrible! I tried for over 2 hours to order a laptop, and finally when a sales associate answered, he was rude, huffy, and hung up on me. In this economy, you would think Best Buy would welcome a sale....Obviously not! more

What Happen to Customer Service in Best Buy 9/11/2008

Best Buy is terrible when it comes to customer service. Customer service, WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, there is none! It does not exist in the in the Arlington, VA location in person or on the phone. I've been calling the Laure, MD, and Arlington, VA store for the last 1 1/2 hrs and the phone just rung in both locations. When the person finally answered the phone in the Arlington location I informed her that I'd purchased a side by side refrigerator and it is not working. I know I purchased an extended warranty but I didn't know if the warranty was still valid. I asked when will they send a letter or something out to let you know that you can extend the warranty if it is no longer valid.She said she could check. I suggested that she put the info in under my phone number, she wouldn't. I spent another 15 min on the phone with her because she refused to put my number in. Finally, she asked my phone number and it pop right up. However, she said she couldn't answer my question and I asked her to more

A bunch of Chowderheads 5/15/2008

My wife and I went to this Best Buy because they were having a sale on washers and dryers. We were looking at a higher end LG Tromm set. We looked at the units displayed on the floor and decided which ones we wanted.\r \r A salesman came over and we indicated thay we wanted to purchase those units in a the color my wife wanted. He said he would look them up in the computer. He went away for a few minutes and came back and siad thet they weren't in the system so Best Buy no longer carried them. We said we had seen these in other stores, Sears and Lowes, and they both had them. He repeated that they weren't in the system so he couldn't sell them.\r \r We drove to Bowie to the Sears where we had seen them before. The Best Buy was next door, so for grins we thought we'd look in there first. The bowie store found them and was happy to take our order. Best Buy then screwed the order up and it took six weeks to deliver them, but that's another issue. The nimrod salesman in laurel couldn't even be more

Geek Squad to the Rescue! 12/28/2005

Even though Best Buy doesn't advertise their Geek Squad very much, I can tell you from personal experience that you are getting a professional group of people helping you out. They do a great job explaining everything so that even the most IT illiterate person can understand and follow everything they are saying. They walked me through installing a wireless router over the phone and the price turned out to be very reasonable, even though I was on the phone for a couple hours. more

My Favorite Best Buy 11/17/2005

This has to be the cleanest and most organized best buy I have gone too. Their staff is always helpful, kind & knowlegable. I have never had a problem going there, I can always find everything I need. The only thing is that they may need more people at the register but that doesn't bother me with thier staff being so kind. more

Good and quick! 11/2/2005

I went there to get a tv. I knew what I wanted and found it quickly. The price was not what was in the ad so I walked to the next aisle and to my surprise found the same tv for a cheaper price. I retrieved a sales person to help me get the tv. He looked around for a few minutes and found the model at the top of the rack. Off he went to get another guy. He came around and sent me to get a cart. He pulled down my tv and I was off to pay for it. The tv rang up for the higher prices so I showed the cashier the display with the lower price. She keyed that in and I used a gift card which made this tv set well worth the price. She didn't push the extended warraty which most places do and a guy helped me load it into my car. I was really happy with this store. This store is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. I went during lunch time so there was plenty of help. more

Better than Circuit City 4/10/2005

Best Buy is also better than Circuit City in that it sells appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators. They sell microwaves and vacuums, which Circuit City does not sell. All of these appliances are brand names at very good prices. I have gotten countless deals at Best Buy and all of their merchendise has proved to be fantastic. more

Find what you need in minutes! 4/10/2005

It is crowded, but there are so many employees to help you find what you need. I also like that they employees dont work on commission (at least in the computer department), so they are completely honest when it comes to the product and help you find what you need at the cheapest possible price. more
