Had Ryan over my house to fix a leak. He was a gentleman, caring and understanding to my needs. He made a few recommendations and let me choose what I needed. No hidden costs or finding more problems as he was working. They had an evaluation fee, but if I went with the job he would waive the fee. Last Plumber I had charged me for a trip charge of $59 then it was $130hour plus parts? I wasn't told this over the phone when I talked to him, so I asked him to leave he became very forceful and wanted his trip charge. I refused to pay. Benjamin was straight forward on the phone told me about the fee upfront and Ryan was straight forward with his pricing options. What I like is that Benjamin Franklin gave me a guarantee on his work for over 5 years. The price was the price, no added fees at the end. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing gets an A+ in my book. more

All companies should be this focused on customer service 2/18/2011

From my first experience with Ben Franklin plumbing to my latest, I am constantly amazed at the level of detail, quality of work, respectfulness of the staff and focus on making sure the customer really is happy with their work. I have sung the praises of this company to all I know, it is hard to imagine such an organization still exists, it is like taking a trip back to the 50's you feel like your are in one of those black and white movies because you are treated like an important individual and your job is the only one that matters until it is done right. Price much too high 12/14/2010

Your service man who came was terrific! He was clean, polite, professional. I just think $277 to install a $15.00 part is out of control. In the future I will consult with my builder before jumping into to something like this again. My builder came by later to visit me and when he saw what work was done and for the price, he was shocked. In fact, his father is a plumber and he clearly told me that I was ripped off. I didnt appreciate that and therefore I am not going to recomend you in the future. more

I had no water, hot or not, coming out of the hot taps and the problem was fixed. 11/2/2010

I am a member of the Ben Society and that came in handy because I had no water coming out of the hot taps at all and the plumbers came out quickly because of the Society membership. I got a new water heater and WAGS unit. more

The visit was professional and the information I received was helpful. 10/4/2010

The gentlemen who were in my home were very polite, respectful, thorough, and knowledgeable about the problems I was having. At this time, I am still working with the insurance company and can't hire anyone to do plumbing or other work until I receive a check from my insurance company. I will definetly get in touch with Ben Franklin Plumbing when I can finally get the repairs done. more

Too Expensive 9/23/2010

Your charge amountedto over $130.00 per hour. I thought the $49.00 show-up charge would be included in the bill if the work was performed. Your serviceman correctly told me that it wasnt before he did the work, but since I was already out $49.00 if he did nothing, I felt like I had choice. more

Exceptional customer service and Professionalism 4/21/2010

I was given this company through comfort partners to install a new hot water heater. My Service agents were Bill Cordes and his son Joe (joe was on a bring your son to work day) They were a delight to have in my home and the service was exceptional. Excellent, quality work. 3/22/2010

Ben Franklin Plumbing has done a variety of different jobs for me over the years, from work on the outside spickets and hose connection to fixing my toilets and sink. They also installed a hot water heater for me. I continue to use them because of their excellent, quality work. I would encourage people not to be intimidated by the price. Their service is worth it. We have been using Ben Franklin Plumbing of Toms River for about 10 years. They have done big projects for us, including a bathroom and a kitchen that they gutted and redid entirely. Most recently, they installed a new water heater. Everything has turned out perfectly. Ben Franklin Plumbing responds in a timely manner. They are very professional, courteous, and they give quality attention and care to their customers. If you are having any plumbing problems, I would recommend calling Ben Franklin Plumbing. They respond quickly and listen. They will come back as many times as it takes to get it right. more
