My friends work at Bender's Automotive and they're awesome. I send people to them all the time. The guy that runs the place is a good friend of mine, so I'm a little biased, but I wouldn't go there if they didn't provide me with excellent service. I've been going to their shop for ten years or maybe longer because of the service I've received there. They're honest and they always go the extra mile. They don't just look at what you're complaining about; they check out the entire car. They tell you all the problems you may have and make recommendations. It's not like they're trying to up-sell you. They're legitimately trying to make sure the car is sound. They're out to make money just like any other business, but they're also out to make their customers happy, and they do that well. more

I have a 10 year old Camry, I bought it new. I kind of let the service go, because I didn't really know who to go to. I didn't want to go to the dealers, because they can take you to the cleaners! I read about Bender's Automotive in the paper, so I went in there back in December or January. I needed quite a bit of work done. But you know, the estimate they gave me was right one. I didn't feel taken advantage of. I was recently there, only this time I didn't need to get as much work done. Also, Denise is great. She comes to pick me up or drop me off, even though they are located really near to where I live. It seems like everyone there is very friendly and do good work. They really care about their customers. They've gotten my car driving really well! I'm really happy with their service so far! And it's nice, because they send you a follow-up thank you for your business postcard after your service. I really appreciate that! more

a few months ago i was new to the area and was in search for an auto repair owner with integrity, expertise, and reliability. i am so fortunate to have found Benders. they are hospitable, friendly, and genuinely care about the consumer. i live 20 miles from them, but will continue to bring my car to Benders when there is a need. if you're looking for integrity, professionalism, and hospitality, look no further then Bender's Automotive. more

Took my 04 Saturn in for a minor coolant leak. I mentioned that I had done some research and found that the oil cooler is a common source. The called and said they had performed a preaqsure test and it was the water pump. $465. to repair ok fix it. Then Mike mentions that the timing belt will be exposed and while mine was in good shape it would be a good time to fix it, $367.00. Ok take care of it. I get my car back and I find that I am adding coolant every two weeks again. I take it back and they call me that my left head gasket is leaking. throw in a valve job and I am looking at $2200 to fix the same problem. I oked the repair but changed my mind. Why would I reward them "testing/guessing" wrong the first time. I picked up the car Drove it a few blocks west to Johnny's, they have certified mechanics. Turns out it was the oil cooler leaking. So paid $800. for a reapir that did not happen and almost paid $2200. for a repair that would not have fixed the problem. They are very nice but I paid for a car repair not to be greated pleasantly for $800. RESPONSE FROM BENDER'S AUTOMOTIVE: Tim, we do have certified techs and they did diagnose your car correctly at the time. Your water pump was leaking, evident by the water running out of it when we pressure tested it. Sometime when you fix one part on an old cooling system another part could start leaking due to the added pressure in the system. That is probably why it took 2 weeks for you to notice a problem. We are not perfect, but if we were to miss diagnose your vehicle we would either refund your money, or repair the vehicle and put the first repair towards the second. I've been doing a lot of the work on my car myself. It came up with a brake problem, and Bender's Automotive fixed the problem and straightened it out! I couldn't have done it myself. I found out about Bender's Automotive on the Grapevine and Bender's Automotive has a good reputation in the area. They have good people and a good staff. I talk to the owner of Bender's Automotive myself, and it's a very personal experience. It was my first time using them. I always do my own work so I was kind of nervous, but Bender's Automotive impressed me! more

BENDER'S AUTOMOTIVE really seem to know what they're doing. Everybody was real friendly there, I met Mike and the lady in the office, and they were very nice and accommodating. I was having a problem with a differential in the rear of my vehicle, and the bearings were wearing out and I was running the risk of having them freeze up on me while on the freeway, which would not be good! After I got over the initial shock of how much it was all going to cost, I let them get to work. They told me it would take two days, and it did. The car's running great and I am very happy with the final results and would go back! more
