Dr. Karburg and his staff have always been nothing short of wonderful. They are all very professional and it's obvious that they care very much for our 2 dogs. Also, the groomer...

Worst

I would guess that all of these rating are made up by this snake in the grass who calls himself a "vet". Be very cautious if you take your pet hear. My best advise, get another ...

Dr. Symes is a great vet. He really understands animal nutrition and will encourage a more natural way of raising your pets. Even my mean 'ol dog likes him. Does not endorse/sell Science DIEt :) more

I've taken my cats to Dr. K for the last 16 years. He has taken good care of all my cats and has gone above and beyond to help me make the difficult decisions about whether to euthanize a beloved pet. He helped me maintain quality of life for one of my cats for over a year with simple vitamin shots. Unlike my previous vet, he is always willing to discuss care options and costs and work with my budget. He comes back from professional conferences with new information and ideas to help my pets. I have recommended him to friends many times. I have not boarded my cats except for surgeries, so I can't comment on long-term boarding, which is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. Great staff, very caring vet. more

I would guess that all of these rating are made up by this snake in the grass who calls himself a "vet". Be very cautious if you take your pet hear. My best advise, get another opinion and have someone else run the tests that he claims to have run....and by all means, be with your pet when it is in his "care". I have no reason to lie about this. more

Dr. Karburg and his staff have always been nothing short of wonderful. They are all very professional and it's obvious that they care very much for our 2 dogs. Also, the groomer has always done a great job for us. I would highly recommend Dr. Karlburg and his staff to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate vet. more

Watch out for upselling... 12/30/2009

I've taken my dog here for grooming a couple of times and every time they tried to sell me on veterinarian add-on services. This past time they doubled my bill with an unrequested checkup. If you're only looking for grooming services, I'd recommend some place else as they kind of toss the two together. more

All of my cats have gone to the Beltline Animal Hospital. That is over 20 years of cats! I have always had a caring, kind and confident experience with Dr. Karlburg and his staff. So much that I drive clear across town just for them! more

Beltline Animal Hospital is terrific! 10/26/2009

I have been taking my dog to Beltline Animal Hospital for about 3 years. He hasn't had any serious medical problems, but during annual check-ups and shots, I have found Dr. Karlburg to be very professional and caring. And my dog really like him! My dog gets groomed there pretty regularly and boarded occasionally. He is always happy upon arrival and equally happy when I pick him up. It's nice to finally find a vet's office where my dog seems totally comfortable and even happy to be there. I live clear across town, and there are closer options including some right up the street from where I live. I drive the extra distance because the staff at Beltline Animal Hospital is terrific! more

Think twice 10/19/2009

Horrible experience. My dog was spayed here and came home dehydrated, developed a staph infection, and had to be taken to another vet for treatment. I would not recommend. more

Beltline Animal Hospital is Fabulous! 6/19/2009

Dr. Karlburg and his staff are WONDERFUL! We have been taking our animals to them for five years (since we moved here from Chicago). He treats us like family and our dog Sophia cannot wait to get in the door to see everyone there. I have never had a dog that was excited about going to the vet before. When our cat, Morticia was diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Karlburg gave us all the information we needed to make an informed decision (she is doing great by the way) about the surgery. When our cat Mr. Echo started turning yellow in his eyes and paws; I flew over to Dr. Karlburg and he told me that the chances of Mr. Echo surviving liver surgery were slim and that the chances of him having a good quality of life if he did survive were even slimmer. So, he gently put our sweet cat down. It was in January and he said that he would hold Mr. Echo in his freezer until the Sprig thaw so we could bury him.Oh, one more thing, the groomer is top-notch! more

A Huge Mix Up 3/30/2009

I have been going to Dr. Karlburg for 15 years. He's taken care of 3 dogs for me. I drive from Milwaukee because he is that good. I don't know the vet these people describe. Dr. Karlburg and his entire staff are caring and compassionate people. He had tears in his eyes when we had to put my first two dogs down. He ALWAYS starts with the least expensive procedures - only when he rules out those less expensive procedures does he recommend procedures that may be expensive. His charges have always been reasonable and the care of my pets superior. This is a wonderful, caring man - not the man or the hospital these other people describe. more

Would Highly Recommend! 3/4/2009

I went to a number of vets before I decided on Dr. Karlburg and have been taking my dog and 2 cats to see him for a number of years now. He's always been very compassionate and gentle with my pets and I've found his prices to be very reasonable. I never felt excluded from my animals' care nor do I feel he has ever pushed unnecessary procedures. I have worked in veterinary medicine and I would highly recommend Beltline Animal Hospital. more

He is very kind and gentle with my dog. He is the nicest vet my dog has ever had. SInce in addition to be a knowledgable and talented vet; he has a great dog-side manner. I highly recommend Beltime Animal Hospital. more

We've recently boarded our dog there for the first time. They were extremely friendly and wonderful! Our dog also had a super time! We will definitely go there again! more
